ChiSox59
Bummer, but their pitching still sucks.
YouCanPutItOnTheBoardYES!
This scares me. The Sox really need to make a move now. If it got to the point where the Jays and Sox were in the Wild Card play-in game, I still like the Sox chances since Sale would be pitching. The Sox need to get a bat to counter this. ChiSox59
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 30, 2015 -> 11:21 AM) Is it done? Not yet, but all signs pointing that way.

Price f*cking owns the Sox and the Blue Jays have enough pop to slap a homer off Sale. As much as I believe in Chris facing the Blue Jays Price V Sale in a 1 game playoff is our worst matchup IMO
Y2Jimmy0
QUOTE (raBBit @ Jul 30, 2015 -> 11:10 AM) Definitely. Norris, Alford and Lugo would be my guess. Supposedly it's Norris, Alford, and Matt Boyd. That's crazy for a rental. No way Price stays there in offseason.

As much as I believe in Chris facing the Blue Jays Price V Sale in a 1 game playoff is our worst matchup IMO I went to a game at the Cell when Price was still on the Rays, and the Sox slapped him around quite a bit. That being said, it could have been an off-day for him.

Frank_Thomas
LA is going to be desperate if they miss out on Price and Hamels. But I give them credit in not wanting to give up Urias.

Frank_Thomas
QUOTE (Sockin @ Jul 30, 2015 -> 11:32 AM) Jeff Passan Sources: David Price to Toronto is imminent. Wow what a trade deadline for Toronto. Arguably got the best impact bat and pitcher available. They emptied their system but they are going for it. Hopefuly the Yanks start to suck cause I think with the moves Tor has made it'll be hard to beat them out for the W.C. especially if we stand pat. Lots of kudos to them for making the deals. Chisoxfn
Pretty crazy. Toronto adds Price and Tulo. They obviously paid a steep price, but if you think in terms of pure talent, those are two significant talents.

bmags
Well, AA thinks he's out if they don't make playoffs. Doubtful you get another GM job, so you may as well go for it.

Buehrle>Wood
Also for those who always beat the trade chris sale drum, this is proof you can wait years and years and still get a mega package 2 months before he hits FA. No reason to do it soon.
ChiSox59
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 30, 2015 -> 11:43 AM) Well that couldn't be any worse for us. Crazy to think that the Jays are only 1/2 game in front of the Sox right now, and they just emptied their system for Tulo and Price. Albeit, Tulo will be there beyond 2015, but still pretty wild, and quite a gamble considering they likely won't catch the Yanks either way and will be relying on a 1 game playoff, at best. YouCanPutItOnTheBoardYES!
I hope the Jays start to surge so we face the Yankees in the play-in game instead. I like our chances with them much better than against the Jays.
