CWSOX45
This team has shown a lot of fight in it before, today's loss did not give Minnesota the division. Regardless of what the fans think or what those idiots in the media say. We have 6 crucial games coming up, Minnesota has had trouble with Cleveland and the Tribe will be looking to play spoilers. I expect the Sox to play very well in Boston. Think I'm nuts? Fine. I refuse to give up on this team and I will stay optimistic until the end. GO SOX!!!! winninguglyin83
Cleveland is certainly capable of playing the Twins tough. And they play Minnesota seven times. But it will take a miracle for Detroit to beat Minnesota more than two times in seven games. That is the problem -- and I'm not confident the Tigers can even beat them twice. Or once. The Critic
Just as there has been all season, there are valid reasons to be optimistic and valid reasons to be pessimistic. I don't really know what to think right now. If the Sox had lost the first two games and won the last two, I'd be positive and upbeat about escaping with a split. Same result, but a different mindset. The schedules of the Sox and Twins have been discussed to death, so I won't go into that. Just going to watch the games, root for the Sox and hope for the best. If it happens, they'll certainly have earned it. If it doesn't, this team will be one of the more baffling disappointments in recent Sox history. A case study in lost opportunities. DBAHO
Well yeah I'm still positive as well, but we just missed a BIG oppurtunity to really grab a hold of this division. I don't think we will that good in Boston though, don't forget those guys r still fighting for a wild card spot and they took da 2 games away from us at da Cell. Da 3 games at the Metrodome r huge though. Whoever wins that series i think will win that division, I think it's that important. The thing that I'm most worried about Minny now is that their starters r doing well again. Santana and Radke r pitching well again, adnw e all know about their bullpen as well. We desperately need da Tribe and Tiggies to take some games away from them.

Everything, and i mean EVERYTHING i have said has come true, yet fools like you still seem to want to call it negative. IF being right is being negative, then hey, what does that make you who are wrong. Maybe after watching more than just a few baseball games, youll understand. Then again, maybe not, because first you need to admit when you are wrong and not cast the blame on others.

Bmr31
How is calling posters dumasses not a insult or attack? CWSOX45 Dude ive been attacked on this board for WEEKS and not reacted, other than something small like dumbass. Ive been attacked for speaking the truth and being honest, which i will ALWAYS do. The world doesnt have enough honesty. TRUST ME, i love the sox as much and in most cases more, than anyone on this board. That doesnt mean i have to have blinders on. Ive seen one or two seasons. I watch baseball a lot. I watch more than just the sox. I know a playoff team when i see one. They dont play inconsistently like the sox have all season. Its common sense to me. I am not someone who comes on here and bashes players. I am not someone who roots for teh sox to lose just so i can be right. I just speak the truth and fools like you ask that i get banned because of it. You tell me who is right and who is wrong, or are you not capable of that? winninguglyin83
if the Sox win Friday night and the Twinkies lose in Cleveland, the mood will shift again. Still a ton of baseball to be played. Minny definitely has the upper hand. But it ain't impossible. by my count Cleveland has won 8 of 13 against Minny this season with Radke and perhaps Santana not pitching, the Tribe can take two games from the Twins. I think Wedge is getting into this role of spoiler, telling his young players it's their first taste of pressure baseball. As for the Tigers, don't look to me for any reasons they can handle Minnesota. ANYTHING we get out of them will be a bonus.

DonkeyKongerko
I was at the game today. From what it looked like, Sox carry a poor offensive performance from a night earlier into a day game the next day. I hate to say it but I wasn't feeling nearly as positive during this game as at other Sox games when we fell behind. The Sox really didn't even have a threat except for that one inning and looked very popup happy today.
