Kind of sad that the last two Sale starts, the JS s***ty outing Sunday andthe Joe McEwing f*** up are the difference in this being a wildcard race and what we have now which is fools gold.

One week ago I thought maybe if the pitching could hold up...well the pitching has s*** the bed.

One half of the roster is always conspiring against the other half. You're not a team to be taken seriously unless offense defense and pitching all do well together a lot of the time.

Do you think Avi's lookin over on the bench at Thompson thinkin he wants my job or maybe Tray's his good luck piece. I 've been hoping to see Tray play a couple games but Avi's hitting pretty well. Really though they should bench LaDunn and let Avi DH an play Tray in RF. Nice win in any case

One of the mods, Tony something, said Avi has been working on the mechanics of his swing...does he ( or do you, Tony) have some insider info?

There was an article somewhere (CSN I think) about Avi working with Steverson lately and figuring out what was wrong

Just getting caught up on the game. I'm happy Avi did so well today. He does seem like he tries hard and is an easy guy to root for. I don't want him to fail and suck. Congrats to him. Sounds like Rodon was bad again. Yikes. Don't know what to say bout that.

Good relief work though. Our team is so inconsistent, lol.

Just saw we blew a 5-0 lead today. That would have been a s***ty loss. Good to pull it out.

I was thinking about the Royals series. First of all I should not watch any of it as I'll just get extremely pissed. They are gonna have all sellouts and their team is so much better than ours that it truly will take a miracle to win one game. Royals are playing OK and again, all games are sold out and they are good at mopping up at HOME on lousy teams.

That said, I would play Thompson all 3 games in KC. Try something different against the Royals. Play Thompson in right and platoon Avi/LaRoche at DH (I realize we can't just bench LaRoche cause of his salary so I won't even pray for that). Play Saladino all 3 games; play Thompson all three games. And as much as I LOVE Flowers play Soto all three games to try something different vs. KC.

Seriously guys. We do the same ol same ol and it's SWEEP again for KC. And a sweep doesn't help us any since the trading deadline is long passed. Maybe Thompson gets hot and single handedly wins one of the games. Maybe Soto runs into a couple. We know Flowers is in one of those funks and needs the weekend off. And playing LaRoche all three games is insane. KC actually, uh, has advance scouts and they know how to f***ing get him out. Ditto Avi. So platoon THEM.

Please comment on my post. I think you'll agree Greg is right on this one.

I'm a fan of Stevenson also. I like our coaching staff just want a new manager.

Just curious as to why? We have had so many hitters underperform. Why is that seemingly on Robin and not Steverson?

steverson came from oak with a good rep as a hitting coach. his motto there was something about being aggressive and selective in hitting. keep your head still, look at a area for your pitch, work on hand strength and a quick swing.

he has been successful where ever he worked. Hahn went out and got him. last yr, alot of poster were singing his praise, then the early season started.

when all this crap was happening in the beginning, a coach can't stop be a good coach, that is why i kept on asking / stating that something else must be happening. i never laid the blame on the hitting coach.

Once again, the curious nature of fans. Steverson should be run out of town the way the Sox hit. Walker was run out of town. Why? Well, Walker was a former player who didn't really hit well in the bigs for the Sox. So the cliche was he was no good, a clown. Steverson is some new age genius guy who people know nothing about. Yet he doesn't get blamed at all when he should have been canned weeks ago. There are so many cliches in baseball. It'd take a lot for fans to think Steverson is no good. He's a no name who has been deemed outstanding for some reason. Walker meanwhile is a clown for no reason.
