ChiSoxFanMike
Why would you bet $115 to win only $100? Wouldn't it be the other way around?
1dog
QUOTE (Mike F. @ Aug 11, 2015 -> 01:23 PM) Why would you bet $115 to win only $100? Wouldn't it be the other way around? You profit $100. You get your original $115 back, for a total payout of $215.

southsider2k5
Of note for all of the CERA debate. South Side Sox @SouthSideSox 15m15 minutes ago Flowers catching Rodon tonight, whose rough starts of late have come with Soto behind the plate. More data if nothing else. Jose Abreu
QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Aug 11, 2015 -> 03:38 PM) No LaRoche as a starter against a LH again. Hallelujah , they have seen the light. Took 'em long enough. Don't worry, when Hector is pulled after 5 shutout innings with 109 pitches, LaRoche will be used as a pinch-hitter. CaliSoxFanViaSWside
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Aug 11, 2015 -> 01:41 PM) Don't worry, when Hector is pulled after 5 shutout innings with 109 pitches, LaRoche will be used as a pinch-hitter. If Hector is pulled then with that many pitches hopefully we're ahead 5-2 and Rodon is throwing strikes and there's no need for The Rock to pinch hit. Santiago is a good kid. I couldn't blame him if he had a mental f u to the coaching staff who didn't believe in him . But not many fans did either. Santiago was like Avi is now, a few people see(saw) the upside but most see the flaws as a sign of permanent suckage.
Jose Abreu
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Aug 11, 2015 -> 03:51 PM) Who gets to 100 first - Hector or Carlos? I think they'll both get there in the 5th.

Santiago was like Avi is now, a few people see(saw) the upside but most see the flaws as a sign of permanent suckage. I hope so. My joke was that Santiago (like Rodon) would always be at 100+ pitches in the 5th inning, sometimes with no runs allowed.

pettie4sox
Santiago just couldn't keep his pitch count down and gave up a few long balls. I think the fact he burned through your bullpen pissed people off. I bet money he goes off on the SOX tonight.
caulfield12
Santiago's fifth in the AL in ERA...no matter how you want to splice it, that's pretty good and beyond the expectations of most for anyone drafted in that position out of New Jersey.
