Drafting Simmons definitely isn't a slam dunk. I'm with you for the most part as there aren't many teams I wouldn't trade places with as a Bulls fan but I'm not really sold on what the Sixers are doing either.

Fair enough.

They sound nice, but together they were awful, and adding Ben Simmons to an undisciplined young team doesn't scream championship to me.

I never said they'd win one. I said they were in a better position to win one going forward than the Bulls are. Which is still true.

Jimmy Butler is better than every player on the Sixers (including the #1 pick). Yes, I would still take the Bulls going-forward, the only thing that gives me pause in it is how little I think of Hoiberg as a coach. Bulls also have cap space. Not saying they'll do much with it, but put a quality coach on this team and find a good point guard and another solid player and yes, I think we'd be a pretty good team. Championship, no, but I don't see the Sixers being anywhere close to a championship either.

Philly media people dont even believe they will make the playoffs next year and are just looking for them to look like an NBA team. That isnt quite a vote of confidence to give your basketball team. Yeah I would take the Bulls over that.

It's not fair to say Jimmy is better than the number 1 pick because we have no clue what Simmons or Ingram is going to be. All I know is Jimmy is a great(not elite) player that can't be the number 1 guy on a championship team. The odds of Simmons or Ingram being that number 1 guy certainly aren't high but we don't know for sure that they aren't.

I like Ingraham a lot but you are right he's probably a #2.

I liked most all of the sixers players in college, but I worry their growth in the NBA was severely stunted from so many non-nba players around them where they were covering up their mistakes and not truly learning to excel with their talents.

Compare that to the celts.

Would you rather have the Bulls coach, roster, and financial situation or Brent Brown, tons of $$ to spend, and Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid, Dario Saric, Jahlil Okafor, and Nerlens Noel?

The Bulls are a year away from being out from every major contract except Jimmy Butler. Their financial situation isn't bad at all when you consider what the cap is about to do.

Amazing when you have a typo and actually add more letters to their name.

Jordan's gambling and womanizing would be just as much of a non-story now as it was back then.

It's gotta be wayyyy juicier than that, AND caught on camera. I think he'd be smart enough, and, more importantly, protected enough to be just fine this day in age.

I mean c'mon, Kobe raped a girl...how's he doing since then? Was it even brought up at all throughout the season-long slobberfest of a retirement party?? Is his legacy tainted one iota??

And Butler is on a bargain of a deal all things considered.

They are getting Ben Simmons though, who I believe is a superstar. So they'll have 1 more superstar than the Bulls currently have giving them a better chance going forward. Bulls are in basketball hell.

I'd like to see the Bulls trade up to get Jamal Murray. Don't know what it would take but aside form Ben Simmons, he is the guy I'd want for the Bulls. You can have Brandon Ingram. It's Murray who is the gem (along with Simmons).

I still like the Thunder in five or six. Good job by the Warriors tonight, though, but as the Spurs proved in Game One vs. OKC, margin of victory means nothing. The OKC fans are crazy; GS in deep trouble still. Bet.The.House. Thunder to cover for sure in Game Three.

Phil Jackson resigning. I had a feeling Hornacek was a power play from Isiah Thomas and I believe we're about to find that out.

Edit: wait definitely fake la times twitter. f***kk. My bad. Still believe the latter.
