ChiSoxFanMike
First of all, I apologize if this is in the wrong section. I didn't know quite where to put it, but I wanted to show this to all you Sox fans. Just as a little background, I collect a lot of Chris Sale stuff. I have quite a few baseball cards, and even an autographed baseball of his. The one thing I didn't have was a hand-drawn picture of him. My sister is only 12 years old, but she has always been amazing at drawing, even when she was only a baby. I don't know where she gets it from, since no one in my family (including myself) has any artistic talent whatsoever. She enjoys drawing just about anything, so I thought I'd ask her to draw me a Sale picture. It took me awhile to find a picture that I really liked of him, but I settled on this one. I knew this would be a hard undertaking for her, but I figured that I'd ask her if she wanted to try to do it. She's done many pictures in the past, but none of a baseball player, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect when it was done. When I asked her to try, she seemed really optimistic. She got to work very quickly and started working almost all day for the past week since she has nothing to do during the summer. First, she sketched it. Here's how it looked without color. I was shocked at how good it already was, so I was hesitant for her to add color, but she wanted to. I was worried how it would come out. Fast forward to today. She hands me the finished picture. Here it is. WOW.:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: Between the coloring, shading, the wrinkles of his jersey, the background, etc, I am amazed. I have no idea how anyone, let alone a 12 year old, can draw so well. She didn't trace anything. She just looked at the picture on the screen and transferred it to the paper. It's absolutely incredible in my opinion. I plan on framing it, and hopefully showing it to Chris himself and having him sign it at some point. This automatically becomes one of the best pieces in my collection just because of all the time my sister put into this for me. Thanks for the long read, and feel free to comment as my sister likes feedback, whether it is positive or negative.

maggsmaggs
Amazing for a 12-year-old. She should definitely keep pursuing the art thing, if at the very least a hobby.

ChiSoxFanMike
Thanks all for the compliments! She just turned 13, and she recently finished up this piece. It's of my great grandmother Ida. The one on the left is the actual colorized picture, and the one on the right is her version of it. Thanks for reading and I hope you like it.
