CaliSoxFanViaSWside
How can anyone expect the Cubs to win a World Series when they can't even win the Chicago Cup ?
Jose Abreu
Sale and Jones were fantastic.
BigEdWalsh
So I didn't see the game thread. Is the 18 K's in a 9 inning game a White Sox team record? I gotta believe it is. Anyway, outstanding performance by Sale/Jones.

Panerista
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Aug 16, 2015 -> 04:36 PM) Rizzo calls Sale the best in baseball Most of the time, he is right. The issue is, it feels like every year Sale has one or two poor showings. Just enough to eliminate him from Cy Young contention. That being said, that dud King Felix through might help our guy. Only if the Sox even care about that stupid birdcage-looking trophy too.
greg775
Nice to win and split it, 3-3 against a team that is better than the Sox. 3-3 is a good season series all things considered. You have to wonder. If we had Madden are the Sox 19 over and the Cubs five under .500? Maybe. Now as far as today's nice win ... nice to see the old winning formula for games in the Cell. Good pitching plus lift and pull. The return of the homer and good starting pitching usually is a winning formula for the Sox.
