royoung
QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Aug 18, 2015 -> 11:22 AM) http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?c...mp;ymd=20150818 Charlotte- Johnson Birmingham- Danish Winston Salem- Almonte Kannapolis- Lowry Great Falls- Easterling AZL & DSL- TBA Great pitching day for the farm. I know you didn't mean Nelson Acosta when you said great pitching day, but he and two other pitchers just threw a no-hitter in the DSL. Almost a perfect game too, only one walk in the 8th. Acosta had a perfect game through seven innings and he had six strikeouts. Edited August 18, 2015 by southside hitman
winninguglyin83
Johnson had a no-hitter for 4 2/3. Then he gave up a home run.
flavum
Johnson 7 innings, 1 solo homer, 1 walk, 6 k's
OmarComing25
Johnson just keeps getting it done, really wish we could see what he's made of in the majors.
Bigsoxhurt35
He'll be up in September and start next season in our rotation IMO (unless he's moved in a trade).
Quin
QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Aug 18, 2015 -> 08:40 PM) He'll be up in September and start next season in our rotation IMO (unless he's moved in a trade). If Shark is here, I see EJ traded. If EJ is here, we've got a comp pick.
Bigsoxhurt35
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Aug 18, 2015 -> 08:39 PM) If Shark is here, I see EJ traded. If EJ is here, we've got a comp pick. I really don't see us signing shark unless he accepts the QO. He's just pitched way too poorly for this team to pay him money. We MUST go acquire a bat. BigHurt3515
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Aug 18, 2015 -> 09:39 PM) If Shark is here, I see EJ traded. If EJ is here, we've got a comp pick. The 2nd option seems soooo much more appealing
Marky Mark
Easterling with another great game. I hope they actually give him a chance next year in Kannapolis. I know he's old, but he should have started there this year.
Boopa1219
The DSL team just threw a combined no hitter, led by Nelson Acosta, who threw 7IP, 6Ks and 0BBs. Edited August 19, 2015 by Joshua Strong
maggsmaggs
Zangari had another nice game. He seems very comparable to the Cubs' Vogelbach. Both large men (Vogelbach a little more compact though because he is shorter) and pure left-handed mashers. Both also profile as 1B/DH. Zangari's next step is to work on that BB rate. royoung
http://www.chicagonow.com/future-sox/2015/...l-to-no-hitter/ Great day for the system as Johnson, Danish, and Acosta dominated. Zangari and Gonzalez had huge days for AZL and Ramon Beltre continues to rake in the DSL.
OmarComing25
I know he gave up 0 ER, but Danish only had 2Ks and gave up 8 hits. Can you really call that dominating?

maggsmaggs
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Aug 19, 2015 -> 10:44 AM) Zangari hits Right-handed. Ya, not sure why I thought he hit left-handed. Maybe I am trying to make him Volgelbach subconsciously.
royoung
QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Aug 19, 2015 -> 10:20 AM) I know he gave up 0 ER, but Danish only had 2Ks and gave up 8 hits. Can you really call that dominating? Semantics lol. Anytime you go 7.1 innings without allowing an earned run I'd say you did your job.
