fathom
An awful start for Montas. He needs to be trade bait this offseason.
BlackSox13
QUOTE (southside hitman @ Aug 26, 2015 -> 02:20 PM) As a heads up, I am in Charlotte covering the Knights tonight. Check out the FutureSox twitter machine for observations and games notes Lucky you! I'm not on twitter so forgive me if you've covered this but any idea if Marin's velocity has increased since his move to the pen? Marin looks like a realistic option for the Sox pen in 2016. LDF
QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 27, 2015 -> 02:43 AM) An awful start for Montas. He needs to be trade bait this offseason. why... b/c of 1 lousy start.
fathom
QUOTE (LDF @ Aug 27, 2015 -> 03:08 AM) why... b/c of 1 lousy start. Because I believe there is a very slim chance he can be a starter

SoxAce
Matt, what do you think about Connor Walsh? Interesting peripherals as a reliever, but doesn't always have the results.
Y2Jimmy0
QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 26, 2015 -> 08:43 PM) An awful start for Montas. He needs to be trade bait this offseason. If Montas and Micah gets you a long-term starting position player then sure. If not, I wouldn't mind seeing Jones, Montas, and Robertson at the back end of the bullpen. Still a lot of people who think Montas can start though.
royoung
QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Aug 26, 2015 -> 09:27 PM) Lucky you! I'm not on twitter so forgive me if you've covered this but any idea if Marin's velocity has increased since his move to the pen? Marin looks like a realistic option for the Sox pen in 2016. He was throwing 89-91 in his outing but was very effective (3 K's in 1.1 perfect innings). With Marin I think his location and ability to change speeds is what makes him so difficult to hit. He works quickly and has excellent mound presence.
BlackSox13
QUOTE (southside hitman @ Aug 27, 2015 -> 04:50 PM) He was throwing 89-91 in his outing but was very effective (3 K's in 1.1 perfect innings). With Marin I think his location and ability to change speeds is what makes him so difficult to hit. He works quickly and has excellent mound presence. Good to hear and thank you for the reply. Hopefully Marin gets a shot in ST and runs with it.
