8/28 7:10 PM White Sox (Danks) v. Mariners (Walker)

Recommended Posts

The last meeting between the two last Sunday in Seattle neither pitched particularly well .Walker gave up 5 runs on 7 hits in 5 2/3 innings while Danks allowed 7 runs on 8 hits in 5 innings.

This time around it's at the Cell so maybe Danks can muster up some of that home mojo and get the Sox closer to .500

Don't be surprised if TNT is on the bench tonight since Walker is RH.

One thing worth saying is that LaRoche is actually 7 for his last 22 with 2 HR, 3 2b, and 5 RBI in that stretch of 5 starts, and since we're going to be honest here that there is 0% chance the White Sox are going to eat the $13 million on his contract if we can nurse him back to having a decent September and rebuild his confidence in himself that could give him a shot at contributing more next year.

No problem with LaRoche playing, especially since they've faced more LHP of late. Personally, don't see a reason to have the three starting outfielders playing every single day it seems.
