Quin
Just saw the clips of it on Sports Center. Where did Alexei of all people get three different pitches at distinct speeds?
Jose Abreu
No love for Leury? Anyway, no idea. Maybe he pitched a bit in Cuba?
jasonxctf
Having leury pitch is one thing... What if alexei seriously hurt his arm yesterday? Reminds me of Toby hall playing 1b in a spring training game.
3GamesToLove
Also, Leury Garcia has pitched for the Sox before and nobody cares about him. Like back in 2013 when Casper Wells came in to pitch. Nobody around me cared because nobody around me had any idea he was an outfielder. Alexei Ramirez is a Sox stalwart and one of those guys you never thought you'd see on the mound.

Reminds me of Toby hall playing 1b in a spring training game. Then you decline his option next year? I might have an issue with Avisail or Abreu pitching, but not Alexei at this point. And I do realize that the Toby Hall injury cost the White Sox multiple WS titles, or at least one would think so if they read Soxtalk
Dick Allen
Alexei probably shook off Geo more than Buerhle has ever shaken off a catcher. That was entertaining. Leury looked pretty good as well. I think if Leury ever busted out as a position player, he might want to give pitching a try. While it was fun to watch them, to me, nothing beats Dunn on the mound. His mannerisms were hysterical. Edited September 16, 2015 by Dick Allen
AlSoxfan
In a game like that it was entertaining. I got a good laugh, Leury got a K.

Jose Abreu
The funny thing is, Alexei shaking off Geo was actually the right, smart call.

bjm676
it was hysterical to see. He had a pretty good windup and i think he hit 90 on the gun. That being said, I hope they pick up his option. Can't go into next year with 3 question marks in the infield. Anderson hopefully is ready in 2017. Reminds me of Toby hall playing 1b in a spring training game. His pitch count was getting up there for one inning. I was getting a little concerned for Lexi. He was fine, though. chitownsportsfan
Wait, this actually f***ing happened? How many damn times does RV have to send a position player out to pitch. IT'S EXPANDED ROSTERS HOW THE f*** DO YOU NOT HAVE A PITCHER READY TO GO IN?

Yo, Alexei had a 90 MPH fastball, a 79 curve and a 67 change-up. Robin is turning him into the fabled swing player.

The pen pitched 13 innings in two days,. and 19 innings over three days when you add Sale getting his ass kicked by the Twins on Sunday.
