Bmr31
And the next two days are HUGE. IF the sox can somehow go into Minnesota with ANY kind of lead, and then win 2 of 3, they arent in bad shape. THose are two BIG ifs, though. If the Sox and Twins both win/lose tomorrow but MN wins on Monday, Sox will be a half game back come Tuesday. If MN loses on Monday, Sox will be a half game up come Tuesday. Sox need to take care of business tomorrow against Boston and hope like hell for a MN loss on Sunday and Monday

WE need at least a 1-2 game lead leaving Minnesota. WIth that, and a 6-1 edge over the royals, and 2-1 edge over the yanks would probably win the division. It looks pretty tough. I know i said i THINK we are done, and for obvious reasons, but i havent given up. I love the sox.
Bmr31
Lets just put it this way..........if the sox lose tomorrow theyll likely need to sweep the twinkies, so tomorrow is a BIG game.
southsider2k5
It is amazing how much one day of baseball can change your view of the schedule. Really we have 10 games left against our main competiton including 3 against the Twins. Our fate is still in our hands.
DonkeyKongerko
It is amazing how much one day of baseball can change your view of the schedule. Really we have 10 games left against our main competiton including 3 against the Twins. Our fate is still in our hands. We are tied for first place. So I must say the fates of both Minnesota and Chicago are right now equally in the hands of both teams. Only when one team gets a lead will I say that fate rests more in either team's hands. danman31
Every day later in September the Sox are in 1st the better. Let's just leave it at that. With that in mind the last 2 days have been complete successes with the Royals not gaining any ground themselves. Since our schedule is clearly harder than the Twins every day that we can cancel out it's a plus. If we run these scenarios through our heads we are just wasting our time. Things can change in a day in this race.
