Rooftop Shots
Hi, I've been asking around, and no one could give me an answer so I thought I'd post here and hopefully get some leads. On the southwest side...... Looking to buy some Oversized pure beef hotdogs. Sams club sells them at their food court but don't handle them in the refrigerated section. I can find Hebrew National and Nathans anywhere but they are all this as a sharpened pencil. Best Kosher has some thick ones but seems like 2 bites and they are gone they are so short. All deli's around me have thick big hot dogs but they are all pork or pork/chicken. No Clue where to get the monster PURE beef ones. Any leads would help. My location is roughly LaGrange Road and I - 55 . Thanks for any and all replies.
Southwest Sider
Not sure if these are big enough, but here is a picture of them side by side to their regular sized hot dogs. Pure beef with none of the BS, as well. Edited October 15, 2015 by South Sider
bigruss
In all seriousness...Jewel carries plenty of hot dog brands at that size. Just go with Red Hot Chicago brand, some of the best out there. If you have a Costco membership they sell their 1/4 lb style franks as well.

Kyyle23
do you have any local butchers you have called? We have one near us called Butcher on the Block that carries their own brats/sausage/hot dogs. Maybe check your area for a butcher and see what they have Red Hots are good, I am a fan of Vienna beef brand as well but they tend to be a little more pricey

Swingandalongonetoleft
QUOTE (Rooftop Shots @ Oct 14, 2015 -> 10:03 PM) Best Kosher has some thick ones but seems like 2 bites and they are gone they are so short. Best's Kosher were great, but I think they were discontinued by Sara Lee- unless they were picked up by someone recently or their recipe was revived. I know these were the ones served at The Cell, and they were glorious.

What happened to their warehouse? Is it still there and being used by another company?
