Cespedes takes foul off knee; X-rays negative New York Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes departed Game 5 of the World Series on Sunday after fouling a ball off the top of his left knee in the sixth inning. The Mets' acquisition of Cespedes as a rental from the Detroit Tigers 13 minutes before the non-waiver trade deadline for highly regarded pitching prospect Michael Fulmer jump-started the team's moribund offense, fueling a run that ended with their World Series loss to the Kansas City Royals in five games. http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/14036526...yoenis-cespedes
Dick Allen
Maybe they don't like their uniforms smelling like smoke. Supposedly, Cespedes is a chain smoker.
greg775
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 2, 2015 -> 08:22 PM) Maybe they don't like their uniforms smelling like smoke. Supposedly, Cespedes is a chain smoker. He sounds like a true trainwreck. Whatever team signs him will prove they don't care about team chemistry. He appears lazy on the field and if he's a chain smoker, my gawd.

Buehrle>Wood
Meh. Greg is mostly right. Cespedes work ethic was always questioned in Oakland. His performance never really matched the talent til he neared free agency. Now that he'll be settled in for good I could definitely see him busting hard. LittleHurt05
I don't believe in team chemistry, but I think greg has a point. Giving Cespedes a big guaranteed deal seems dangerous, he might get disinterested very quickly.
Leonard Zelig
I thought there was some clause basically making it impossible the team he played for to re-sign him?
