Pants Rowland
QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 26, 2015 -> 11:02 PM) Wasn't that Jamie Burke? Worst part about it was he just took it and didn't retaliate in any way. Kind of tough for Burke to retaliate from that considering he was a sitting duck waiting for the throw. He ended up in the hospital for observations and had a mild concussion (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=1847744). The problem wasn't whether or not Burke should have retaliated from the fetal position, but more that Hunter should have received a fastball in the ear hole in his next at bat. Yup, he deserved to get plunked. If you deliberatlely try to hurt a defenseless player, not only should you be ejected, but if you're not, you're getting a pitch somewhere that really hurts. I understand a reluctance to trade prospects, but when your large sports-crazed town has gone 22 years without a MLB playoff appearance, I think it's justifiable, even if they fell short the World Series. And it's not like there are any open jobs for AA either. This tweet is awesome: birky @b1rky Being a Toronto sports fan is like being a Cubs fan if the Cubs played every sport.
