LDF
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 1, 2015 -> 11:14 PM) But the White Sox should totally trade Chris Sale. price 31 mil per for 7 yrs..... sweet for him. there is no way the sox would be able to do that and i wouldn't want them to. his contract is at an end when he is 38 yo. BlackSox13
Ha ha, the values of Sale and Q just went up. I guessed Price would end up with the Dodgers but Boston isn't too surprising given their history of signing big free agents and their need for a #1. Up next next, Cueto to the cubs? Especially by Cubs fans. They've been conditioned to think that everyone thinks like they do and that the Cubs are the bestest everzzzz!!! Money talks, Price wasn't coming to the Cubs for a discount to play for Madden or for the "glory" of helping the Cubs win.

I thought I read on Rotoworld he has an opt out after 3 years. I think it is his and not the club opt out. Yea, I agree 38 is a bit too old for that contract Edited December 1, 2015 by Saufley
Bigsoxhurt35
Cubs tears are so sweet. I know their fans are s***ting themselves. No Price, Grienke or Zimmerman. Could work out well for them though.

I think it is his and not the club opt out. Yea, I agree 38 is a bit too old for that contract really, i trust in what you are saying, but it doesn't make sense. 33-34 and an out opt. if he wants it. no team is going to pony up for a 34 and for what, 40 mil?? very confusing, unless it is a buyout option, still. BlackSox13
QUOTE (LDF @ Dec 1, 2015 -> 04:26 PM) you just got me thinking on the rtn that Q or Sale trade could get the sox.... the price of their contracts, who wouldn't trade a hunk of their farm for them. I think the question is, who would trade the farm? It was hard to imagine their values before but now, sheesh! I don't see any team giving up true value for Sale or Q. I give Hahn tons of credit for getting those two locked up long term. Imo, today's market dictates the Sox cannot afford to trade Sale or Q no matter how bad the offense is. ChiSoxFanMike
The only way I could see a guy like Sale or Q being traded is if it was a 3 team deal. Let's be real here. No matter how good and cheap they both are, no team is going to empty their farm for either one of them.
