BREAKING: Female shooter in San Bernardino attack pledged allegiance to ISIS leader: Sources http://nbcnews.to/1XFUcfw

This answers some of your questions

So will the world now stand in support of San Bernardino like they did with Paris? Or will they just keep pointing and laughing at the stupid American and their gun laws?

Couldnt a terrorist easily plot these things out for basically anywhere? Like a mall or any venue that that is going to hold a lot of people at one time. I know security is a little amped up but really nothing that could stop the spraying of bullets for a couple of minutes.

I think the fact this was a holiday/Christmas party is what is being overlooked here.

The workplace grievance line would work if he was appalled by the overly Christian representation at this party.

It has been officially ruled an act of terrorism it doesnt seem like anyone outside of the US really seems to care.

Mass shooting fatigue.

Seriously. It just doesn't have the same effect after a while.

I think if it were to have happened in a more recognizable place maybe it would have made more of an impact.

I think 14 v 140 or whatever (with multiple, coordinated attacks) also bumps up the level of response.

Paris has also been the center of Western culture for centuries, somewhere everyone around the world knows about. Tons of literature set there, movies etc.

Or maybe if it was some redneck, teabag, NRA members instead a few Muslims with possible terrorist links it would get more play. Although the anti gun groups don't seem to care, they dance in blood spilled by anyone...

There's actually a link between Paris and San Bernardino! An Eagles of Death Metal concert was attacked in Paris, and they just happen to have a song about San Bernardino.

Don't be silly, what happened in Colorado is the exact scenario you are referring to.

It's kind of sad we are becoming more and more numb to these types of tragedies. It's just business as usual until it will hit close to home.

Great post. Let's face it. Americans on the whole are OK with these shootings as a tradeoff for the right to have guns and lots of 'em to protect our nation if somebody invades. People want guns thinking it will stop the bad guys if we get invaded. Of course there are the wackos (IMO) who just want guns to shoot animals, etc., and they are a vocal group, but mainly Americans are OK with these killings as a tradeoff for protection. Like you said, very sad. I personally am horrified and believe we are not safe anywhere. I go to church tonight. I am prepared to go tackle any wacko who looks like they are about to start a spree. We all must be ready.
