He's still not better than anybody in the rotation currently, imo.

But what would you have to give up to get him. The issue of trading for him when Sox have more holes to upgrade before starting pitching makes no sense

there is 4 sp's that is a guarantee. the 5 sp is still up for grasp with the WM starting next week, where many unknown trades will happen.

 

but i think you may be right there, the question is which ones will be traded.
