GGajewski18
Deal around Castro reportedly. Does not involve Gardner. I'm gonna guess Eovaldi.
shipps
I was under the impression that Castro was one of the possible pieces to bring in some ML ready talent. I would be surprised if they received a prospect for him.
BlackSox13
QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Dec 8, 2015 -> 05:19 PM) Deal around Castro reportedly. Does not involve Gardner. I'm gonna guess Eovaldi. Not a bad guess. The cubs are rumored to be looking for another pitcher so its possible.

Bob Sacamano
QUOTE (Baron @ Dec 8, 2015 -> 05:22 PM) Think maybe Nova is involved? I think the Cubs want controllable pitching. Nova is a free agent after this year.
BlackSox13
If this trade happens are the Yanks going to plug Castro in at 2B and use Refsnyder as the utility?
Bigsoxhurt35
@Buster_ESPN: Yankees and Cubs moving closing on a trade of Starlin Castro, according to sources.
Jerksticks
QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Dec 8, 2015 -> 06:56 PM) Don't want to make this a Cubs slurp fest, but it's quite impressive watching a Front Office with a very succinct plan and executing on it. Who lucked into a bunch of solid guys. They did committ to losing for half a decade which is tough to do since they're the cubs and they should have money to spend. Bob Sacamano
Everyone on here has been hating on Castro for the past few months saying he has no value and now everyone thinks he's a good player? I don't get it.
YouCanPutItOnTheBoardYES!
That trade literally makes no sense for the Cubs... Cahill is better than Warren, so Warren is useless, and why would they acquire another infielder if they just traded one away and signed another one? I don't get it. I don't think they had a backup infielder. Ryan is a solid backup with plus defense.

Bob Sacamano
QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 8, 2015 -> 07:16 PM) Baez Nah. With upside like that you start him, trade him, or play him in minors. Especially since he's still young. I bet he gets traded though. Edited December 9, 2015 by soxfan2014

dpd9189
They basically traded Castro for Zobrist. My guess is they still add an outfielder.
