Highly doubt it's Murphy they are after. Seems like it's definitely Frazier.

Yeah seems that way. I was just looking at the free agent options. I'm not sure how much the Reds will budge on his price. Although what we do have working in our favor is they almost have to trade him now because of the Chapman saga.

I would be extatic! Who plays SS for that team? Saladino and Sanchez being the Utility guy?

Honestly, I'd like to see Sanchez as the starting SS next year, but I have a feeling that Saladino will win the job.

I think that Sanchez could be a similar type player to Erick Aybar in his prime. Not a ton of pop, but solid contact/defense/speed/baseball IQ.

Based on the fact that you sited a soon to be 35 year old's career fielding percentage my guess is you wouldn't quite grasp it.

I gasp that and I read the stats you're blowing hot air deflecting I'm done lol

I think we'd be fine with that. Saladino would play a great SS for us and you'd think his offense would improve after getting his feet wet last year. But who knows Alexi may still be in the fold for cheap, you have to think on a comfort level Chicago has to be a big selling point for him. It's all he's know basically, Chicago and Cuba.

It's amazing how many people were blasting KW about possibly paying too much before the deal but are praising Hahn for making a great deal afterwards.

They gave up minimal assets to get him. It makes you wonder why the A's were so desperate to get rid of him after only 1 year when he was an important piece of a trade.

@scottmerkin: Hahn: "We have other irons in the fire."

Good...very good

It's good to see everyone excited again. This news made up for that so called basketball game the Bulls just played tonight.

He's not a good clubhouse guy from what I've heard, but I honestly don't give a rats ass about that. He has serious talent at a position the Sox seriously needed to upgrade.

If he plays like he can and helps the team improve, I really couldn't care less what his personality is.

I know. I've got friends who've worked with him. I should have put it in green.

I need one of you negative miserable posters to tell me how this is a bad move. One! Please! So I can laugh at you and talk about you to my entire family as you personally being a representative for all negative moronic Soc fans that are impossible to please.

Maybe history is the best teacher. How many of them benefited the Sox? It's not so much what they gave up but what they got and made a negative impact. Smarj and Swisher come to mind. Still looks great on paper but since it was Oakland does history prevail?
