The man would be my agent if I were in MLB and you do have a point. my point is i am sooo negative on the sox FO as a whole and that agent, that i am sure many are tired of my recurring mention of putting the blame on them. so i been trying to refrain from mentioning them by name or negativity . ChiliIrishHammock24
Davis was totally worth $25M a year last season, EASILY. The problem is, what if he has another year like 2014, where he was awful? He would scare me to sign for a long term.

LDF
QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Dec 10, 2015 -> 02:29 AM) Davis was totally worth $25M a year last season, EASILY. The problem is, what if he has another year like 2014, where he was awful? He would scare me to sign for a long term. i was on davis bandwagon for a long time until yesterday when someone mention his stats and it may not be lasting... 6 yrs at 25 mil is steep and will take him til what, 36-

Kyyle23
@ken_rosenthal Sources: #Orioles have increased offer to Davis, possibly as high as 7/168. Team hopeful, even somewhat optimistic, that it can strike deal.

Y2Jimmy0
Would Baltimore be better off with Chris Davis or Alex Gordon, Pedro Alvarez, and Scott Kazmir?
LDF
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Dec 10, 2015 -> 04:06 PM) Would Baltimore be better off with Chris Davis or Alex Gordon, Pedro Alvarez, and Scott Kazmir? with the cost of what is will be costing, Pedro.... but here is the one thing that i have been holding for a while. his rep of really being a dick to everyone on the team..... pretty much like Albert Belle. too much baggage and a major prima donna. Whitewashed in '05
From what I'm hearing, there's no other team even close to offering Davis this amount of money. He's crazy if he doesn't accept and the Os are even crazier for continuing to up the offer. He's a good power hitter, but that's beyond overpaying. OmarComing25
@Buster_ESPN Orioles didn't increase 7-year offer to Davis. Source: "Not one nickel." Offer off table, although O's would pick up thread of past talks.
