bmags
That opt-out is nice. But, can't say I'd be so psyched about $220 million being spent on Samardjiza and Cueto. Cueto can be amazing, but he is so nuts.
Baron
QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 14, 2015 -> 03:59 PM) That opt-out is nice. The Shark deal is probably one of my least favorite deals this offseason right alongside Zobrist

Saufley
QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Dec 14, 2015 -> 03:48 PM) Wonder now if LA doesn't reach out to the Sox about Q. Would be nice if the Sox could add Frazier and Upton and not have Q involved.
spiderman
QUOTE (Saufley @ Dec 14, 2015 -> 06:35 PM) Would be nice if the Sox could add Frazier and Upton and not have Q involved. Why couldn't that happen? The White Sox aren't trading Quintana in a Frazier deal in all probability.
Saufley
QUOTE (spiderman @ Dec 14, 2015 -> 08:42 PM) Why couldn't that happen? The White Sox aren't trading Quintana in a Frazier deal in all probability. I'm just saying if we were to acquire Upton and Frazier and not lose Q would be great. Wasn't sure it really was a debatable statement!
greg775
Giants have Shark and Cueto. Can you say RISKY? One guy (Shark) was not hated by Sox fans, but far from loved. He basically was a very unreliable pitcher who had a few great outings but was horses*** many many times. Projecting ahead, how can you be high on the guy? PASS. Cueto? He was so bad at one point, Royals fans were hoping he wouldn't even start in the postseason. Their only hope was that he'd start pitching like his hype at some point. He was great in the decisive game at home; on the road he was a disaster waiting to happen and again, KC fans wanted none of Cueto in the postseason unless the game was in Kauffman. Is that the type of guy you want to pay that kind of cash?? Can you say RISKY? Pass. Good luck, SF. Maybe the NL will be a cure all and they'll be great. But again, both Sox and KC fan bases would shake their heads and say, 'good riddance' to both of em.
