caulfield12
http://m.mlb.com/news/article/160525142/pr...ps-byron-buxton Surprised Buxton still had quite a few on his side after last year. The Angels are going to rue trading Newcomb...and surprised Manaea got one vote. Finally, how do the Rays keep finding so many young pitchers? Geez. Can't imagine if they had a $150 million payroll to work with... Edited December 28, 2015 by caulfield12
BlackSox13
This is pretty interesting. For me, I definitely take Seager over Buxton but not by much. As for the pitchers I would have a tough time choosing between Glasnow and Snell with Giolito behind them.
OmarComing25
Buxton just turned 22 10 days ago and has all of 138 PA at the ML level, of course he's still going to have plenty of supporters, as well he should.

Harry Chappas
You wanna be really sad.....I know hindsight. Imagine Stroman in the rotation this year. Also during this draft I recall people on this site stating Giolito was worth the risk....as was Appeal. Wacha was still there as well. http://www.baseball-reference.com/draft/in...type=year_round You could say the same thing about the cubs though as well. Nothing will ever top taking a CF two picks before Trout.
caulfield12
The Yankees missed on him and he grew up right across the water in NJ. Didn't Kirby Puckett spend much of his formative years in the high rise projects on the other side of the Dan Ryan (now torn down) from Old Comiskey? It happens. A lot of teams passed on Trout. Pretty sure he wasn't even considered at that spot by Sox scouts. Albert Pujols grew up in KC and played JC ball at Maple Woods...and yet the cross-state rivals unearthed that gem. fathom
By all accounts, Stroman was the pick if Hawkins was off the board
