StrangeSox
Trump taking credit for pence's "win" last night is the most Trump thing ever, and also confirms that he is super pissed at being upstaged. I put won in quotes because although he won the instant polls mostly on style, the news coverage has at least been equally about this Edited October 6, 2016 by StrangeSox
StrangeSox
The Atlantic offers only its third endorsement for president in over a century and a half. https://mobile.twitter.com/AdamSerwer/statu...751884939137024 Trump still has zero endorsements a month out from election day. greg775
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 5, 2016 -> 08:02 PM) Of these issues, I believe the highlighted is the only one he actually is in control of - and I have no idea why you think the economy is down. Cause everybody is hurting. I don't know many people who are not living paycheck to paycheck. There is a crisis in the economy. There are the poor. There is the middle class, which is really hurting. And there are the one percenters. The economy blows, folks. I don't know anybody with any money. Health care is exactly like Bill Clinton said. Expensive as hell and reduced benefits. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 5, 2016 -> 08:18 PM) The economy is still pretty bad for segments of the population, and we seem to be trending towards a bigger split between haves and have-nots with not as much of a robust middle class any more. So for those people, the economy still sucks in ways that the DJIA or GDP or baseline employment numbers might not reflect. Amen. The economy blows. Nobody I know has any money. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 5, 2016 -> 08:24 PM) LOL Violent crime is less than half what it was 15-20 years ago, we're seeing inroads on "social" freedoms like marriage, the economy has done nothing but improve (albeit slowly, that's certainly true) in the last 7 years or so, and far more people have access to real health care now than did before (though prices do continue to skyrocket - that's true). GREG IS HAVING NONE OF THIS!!!!!!! Also as others have pointed out, situations in Korea, China and Russia are not really under the control of the USA, let alone the President themselves. BUT IT'S ALL OBAMA'S FAULT!!!!!!! Seriously, Obama has made some bad decisions and I am all about discussing those. But you watch way too much screamer TV or something, because your idea of what America is today is just not backed by any sort of reality. I simply disagree. Pick any part of America. How bout race relations? We're close to having a civil war over this Black Lives Matters situation. Close to having a war against our police, who are killing people at an alarming rate. Overseas relations? Obama is despised by Russia, China, even the Philippeans. Economy? Please.

I'm living paycheck to paycheck but also saving with 401k and such. It's all my own fault. I tried getting into a business that was risky and failed to an extent. I just got to an age where I have to settle for a full time desk job. I should go into the healthcare thread to place blame on some of my problems a few years back. Im still waiting for you to provide a link to all of the polls you claimed that proved Trump won the debate. Or, maybe you can respond to Soxbadger and Illinilaw with something better than "Well, someone talked about it earlier in the thread so I dont really feel like it." None of those links works. I think what you did was paste in the link with the "..." in the middle. Try highlighting the text of a word, then clicking the Link button (the one right to the right of the emoji drop-down), pasting in the link and clicking OK. Anyway, there were only a few actual non-internet polls, and all showed that people felt Clinton won. Some by a small margin, others a large one. NorthSideSox72
QUOTE (brett05 @ Oct 6, 2016 -> 07:52 AM) Thanks. Let's try this: http://www.infowars.com/poll-who-won-the-f...dential-debate/ http://fortune.com/2016/09/26/presidential...y-clinton-poll/ https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2016/0...won-the-debate/ OK. I think you are misunderstanding how polls work. There are internet polls, and direct polls. The articles you linked are all about internet polls - which are simply driven by whomever clicks, which can (obviously) be gamed quite easily. No sampling work is done, no random calls or anything like that. They get linked by people wanting to drive the polls a certain way. The few actual direct polls - ones that follow mathematically valid methods - all showed (as we linked for you earlier) a real sampling of LV or RV (or whatever the subset is). Internet polls carry zero meaning in evaluating anything. They're just for fun.
