2016 Democratic Thread

While it seems popular now because it always seemed that Hillary had the White House in mind, I see no scenario where Michelle Obama runs for an office. I think she is done with politics.

What really interests me is what Barack Obama does after the White House.

He's gonna retire to Kenya and open up a masjid.

I think Barack is more worried about his legacy, hence his work already in this campaign season. I don't see him walking away like W.

Hillary Clinton vows to slam the economy into recession.

And we wonder why there's no point discussing actual policy anymore....

It is amazing the gymnastics that get performed to defend Clinton and her statements. When you have major media making excuses for her own words, there is a major problem. One on side there are calls for calling a candidate a liar, but then you have this. This is why people have the concept of a biased and untrusted media. It is exactly because of pieces like this.

Southsider, it's ridiculous all the apologists for Hillary. But nobody cares.

Greg, we know you only watch FoxNews, so I assume you saw this?

I don't watch much news but this is silly. Hillary has the media in her hip pocket and it's rigged for her in 'many' ways.

Texas, Georgia, Alaska and Arizona are polling closer than any of the swing states that Trump absolutely needs to even have a chance.

Oh and Utah has had several polls showing it firmly being a three way race with McMullin, Clinton and Trump all in the high 20's.

I'd like to see McMullin win Utah, just to throw one more wrinkle into this bizarro election.

Do national polls include McMullin as an option? Weird that he could poll so high in utah but under 1% nationally.

He is a Mormon, and Mormons have been more resistant to Trump than the rest of the Repub voting base.

I only know this because 538 had a piece about the [remote] possibility of McMullin becoming president last week. Win Utah, neither Trump nor Clinton gets to 270, get picked by the House.

Im aware, but no other third party polls so high anywhere, strange he wouldn't have a blip on any national polls unless he's not included.

And it would make sense NOT to include him as he missed ballot on quite a few states.

I think the fight for the GOP will be between the Utah republicans/college educated whites and Evangelicals/high school grad white males.
