BlackSox13
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jan 8, 2016 -> 09:07 PM) They just signed Carter for $2.5 million and incentives. Pedro Alvarez is still out there. LaRoche is stuck for better or worse. But Pedro Alvarez will not get a rebuilding Brewers team out from under 90M in salary commitments over the next five years. This based on the idea the Brewers would be interested in trading Braun in the first place which is what were talking about.

Sure, if the Brewers, Reds, Rockies and Braves are in such desperate financial straits they starting selling off assets for 50 cents on the dollar....then it becomes interesting. Milwaukee is a strong revenue machine since the new stadium...even with disappointing teams.

Milwaukee is a strong revenue machine since the new stadium...even with disappointing teams. I'm just entertaining the idea is all. I really have no clue if the Brewers areneven interested in trading Braun. If it were up to me, I would keep him since there's too many outfielders on the market this winter. Better to wait until next winter when there's less somchoose from, assuming Braun stays healthy and produces he'd fetch a nice return in next year's market. But if for some reason the Brewers wanted to trade Braun this year, no way they get full value for him and especially since he's a right handed hitter, which the market is in no shortage of. Like I said, its just for entertainment purposes.
