Steve9347
The decline of a guy who hit 40 bombs last year? Ok.

qmoe1020
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 13, 2016 -> 02:32 PM) The decline of a guy who hit 40 bombs last year? Ok. True, 40 bombs is still labelled an impact bat, but his splits vs LHP are scary and his decline is across the board, including defense. IMO the Rockies are probably stuck with him, realizing that they can get more value out of moving Blackmon or Dickerson.
elrockinMT
my feeling is that regardless of fan interest we won't be trading for Car-Go as the it would cost too much in talent and dollars. We also probably won't see Cespedes at his reported asking price of $25M a year. Upton probably the same.
Donny Lucy's Avocado Farm
QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Jan 13, 2016 -> 02:47 PM) He was a .240 hitter away from Coors... Todd Frazier hit .233 away from home last year. You gonna s*** on him while you are at it?
Dick Allen
QUOTE (Charlie Haeger's Knuckles @ Jan 13, 2016 -> 03:14 PM) Todd Frazier hit .233 away from home last year. You gonna s*** on him while you are at it? Does he have over a .200 point OPS difference in his home/away splits for his career?
blackmooncreeping
QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Jan 13, 2016 -> 01:47 PM) He was a .240 hitter away from Coors... SO were most of the 2015 White Sox lol
Eminor3rd
Yes, I do still want him. Just not at anywhere near the price that Colorado seems to be asking.
BlackSox13
s***, even Adam Dunn hit lefties better in his last season, Lefties 62 Righties 122. I'm definitely off the CarGo wagon. I knew there was a contrast in CarGo's splits but not that much. Colorado can keep CarGo and the 37M he's owed.
GreenSox
QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Jan 13, 2016 -> 04:37 PM) Colorado can keep CarGo and the 37M he's owed. Amen And of course the Sox sorely lack organizational depth.
Bigsoxhurt35
Didn't lose much power away from Coors.
Boopa1219
QUOTE (Charlie Haeger's Knuckles @ Jan 13, 2016 -> 03:14 PM) Todd Frazier hit .233 away from home last year. You gonna s*** on him while you are at it? Frazier while the same age has had a clean bill of health, whereas Gonzalez is an injury magnet and has suffered some major injuries (Did you read the article?). Gonzalez is always dealing with something and as he gets older their taking their toll on his body and skill set.
TheFutureIsNear
Never wanted him. Would love either Blackmon or Dickerson though. Not sure we actually have anything worth trading besides the guys I would consider off limits...Anderson, Fullmer, and Adams. They have no use for Avi either, not that he has much value. Danish, Hawkins, May, Guerrero, Peter, Engel...short of dealing every 1 of them I don't think any kind of package including those guy gets it done for Blackmon or Dickerson. The only deal I could see happening would be if the Rockies liked EJ a good amount and took a package involving him and 2 of the guys I listed. But then we are facing the problem of having to sign a starter and they are becoming limited, we'd probably be dumpster diving in the Latos/Fister area. LDF
i have always hated him being discussed as a good fit for chi. i have always thought he was overrated and i have posted the stats per baseball ref. but i have stop that. i didn't want anymore heated discussion. Bigsoxhurt35
I've always been fine with trading for CarGo but not for anything significant now. He's only on a 2 year deal. But he will decline and already is. I've put my fandom of CarGo aside.
