Possibilities: Cardinals, Nationals, Indians, Angels

Can't see any of those teams actually needing him to play short (which is what my post said). Unless it was reported they were.

Cardinals: Peralta (won't move to third due to Carpenter)

Nationals: Drew/Espinoza holding down the fort until Turner comes up.

Indians: Lindor (maybe play Desmond at third? Doubt they will get involved).

Angels: Simmons

Is the LH/RH thing that big of a deal? For one, we were absolutely atrocious against LHP last year, and I don't see the Blue Jays and Tigers' lack of LH hitters as a big problem.

It is overblown. You don't see many righties with extreme splits against righties as lefties do against lefties.

Sorry didn't see the SS filter. Only teams for SS could be Twins and Rays

Man, I hope we get this guy (Desmond) and then have some plan for OF (trade would be awesome, but jackson/Fowler would be fine).

I'm really getting hyped for baseball (mainly a fantasy baseball player) but these moves would get me back into white sox baseball. (especially now that I live ~3.5 miles from the stadium).

As much as I'd love the Sox to add an OF like Jackson if they signed Desmond (Fowler won't be happening in that scenario as we won't punt two picks), my guess is that will be pushing the budget a bit. A guy like Jennings makes more sense financially and could probably be had for a reliever and fringe prospect.

The #WhiteSox have been publicly linked to free agent SS Ian Desmond, but one White Sox official said Thursday: "That ship has sailed.''

LMAO this **** is ridiculous.

And boom goes that rumor

Well somebody with "sources" got played. I don't think it is Nightengale. If he is using a White Sox official as a quote, I doubt he is making that up. Certainly doesn't seem like they are preparing a big run, and really that was the first clue it was probably BS. That isn't how they do business. I wonder who Hayes' source was,

Agents sure like using the Sox this offseason to help their negotiations it seems
