If they got Fowler and Desmond, what would be the lineup?

1. Eaton CF

2. Fowler RF/LF

3. Abreu 1B/DH

4. Frazier 3B

5. Desmond SS

6. Cabrera LF/RF

7. Lawrie 2B

8. LaRoche/Garcia DH/1B/RF

9. Catching platoon

Not sure fowler + Desmond is a real possibility. Surrendering your draft for two marginal players is ill advised.

In the same thread you started which mentioned signing Desmond and /or Jackson as a better option than Cespedes, with both those players still available, you now say the Sox are stuck at the kiddie table because they didn't overpay for Cespedes. Of course in another thread you say overpaying for a free agent , by a team with a two year window, (and you have stated several times the White Sox have a 2 year window)is not smart.

What do the Sox have to do to get you to buy season tickets?

Just the feeling of being excited about the White Sox and then being let down...has nothing to do with Cespedes specifically. Nobody thinks the Cespedes deal is a good one for any team but the Mets.

I will be perfectly content with Jackson and Desmond, warts and all.

Fowler, no.

And we should have learned at least one thing these last two weeks, that it's much better to go after players who really want to be here...Fowler's heart is still on the Northside.

Their only choice left is the White Sox, sounds somewhat familiar...

Without knowing what was offered for Q, it's impossible to say. Was the return going to be similar to Miller's or was that a one-time situation where the DBacks' front office was already quite familiar with him and bound and determined to get their guy come hell or high water?

Somehow I have a feeling the offer isn't lining up with Top 10-20 mlb pitcher statistically.

If Sox can't get a Miller/Smarj return for Q they should resign.

Caulfield my god why the hell are you talking about what the royals should have done.

Because Dick Allen keeps taking quotes and applying them out of context...from my one long thread written about how the White Sox used to excel in an area the Royals now excel in.

And because it's interesting as a baseball fan to imagine what each and every team should do.

Never mind. From now on every single post will be about Desmond and Jackson until they're off the board so that he's no longer confused.

I can do the same thing as Thad Bosley with his 35 years thing.

I was just tossing it out there since someone suggested it and it was fun putting that together. Realistically it would be Desmond and Jackson.

Because Lyle Mouton for gods sakes. Lyle. Mouton.

And your choice for improving the club or you prefer wasting posts in attempts to mock?

You should be proud, you've also got Dick Allen emulating you but he adds four names. Better effort on his part, and he varies them randomly.

Ubaldo Jimenez. John Danks. Gordon Beckham. Don Cooper.

I don't think that's realistic either. Can't see them spending that much.

I will mock any and all of your nonsensical posts that have zero to do with the topic at hand. If you want to join a circle jerk for Royals, they have their own forums.

Dick Allen doesn't emulate me, he is just as annoyed with your non sequitur bulls*** as anyone else on this site. It isn't just mods and admins.

And for the record, Kenny Williams and Rick Hahn are still employed by the white sox. Just an FYi

No the reason I add names is because I have noticed you randomly throw names out in a post that have nothing to do with your post. Usually 3. I figured it was like the contest they have in between innings at the park where they give someone20 seconds to name as many cereals or other items, and then have a player on the board do the same thing, and if they get more than the player they get.a prize. Usually you throw 3 names out there, so I went with 4 for the win.

What do you think these guys get? I think we could get Jackson for something like 2/$17M. Not sure how many years Desmond will want or get, but I don't see him getting more than a $15M AAV. If we structured right, both could be had for around $20M or so. Can't believe that's much more (if at all) than they were offering Cespedes.

Fine. I'll leave.

At least my Jackson and Desmond predictions will stand the test of time. Dick Allen can find a new group of fans to whine about and leave me alone.

At least stay and explain this because I have no idea what this means. Did something come true of these predictions?

I have seen so many trade proposals which include Tim Anderson, yet the pick the Sox got for Shark is sacred to many. Is it now fair to say that holding on to him wasn't so dumb after all?

Agree I'd rather keep the more the more polished prospect than the future prospect that is a draft pick if we have to choose between one or the other.

Not to be a dick, but f*** no.

If Cespedes on an open market is worth 3/75, a two year Cargo deal would have to be worth at the absolute very least 50 million. If you view the 13 million due to LaRoche as completely sunk it means the Sox would be acquiring Cargo for 2/24 (he is due 37). I would trade the rights to pay Tim Anderson for 25 million dollars, assuming that Hahn has budget constraints.

it is how one will look at it. the fans has no choice but to make the best of it. but the rtn on last yr deadline vs the unknown talent, plus the development, plus the yrs if the org can see any positive results.... that is how i will look at it.

what was on the table at the deadline last yr???? we as fans do not have that answer.

hell, lawrie, if i am looking at the right one, he is 26 going on 27.... give him 2 yrs to put some monster stats and he will be sitting pretty in the next turn-around in fa....
