Esteban Loaiza: A True Fluke?

Maybe he was living a dream year. Maybe that cut fastball has nothing to do with his success over the year. Maybe, it was all a fluke.

There are two possible reasons as to why Loazia is sucking so much ass lately.

1: He's tolled. He's been chunking all year, without one bad streak. He finally has one.

2: It was all a fluke. By some weird force of nature, he did well for most of the season, but it was all a fluke. And he'll be the same next year as he was every other year.

I don't know what to think.

STFU! YOU CANT WIN 19 GAMES AND BE A FLUKE. RELAX MAN, YOU NEED TO SHOW SOME RESPECT FOR THE GUY! DO YOU REALIZE THE PRESSURE THAT IS SQUARELY ON HIS SHOULDERS?

If he wasn't, he could at least try and throw the ball over the plate.

He obviously can't handle high-pressure games. This is looking bad.

It sucks how a guy can win 19 and he's ok then he loses 2 in a row and he gets called a Fluke. Shheeesh some people around here. Dam maybe he could go 30-1 and in that loss he's called a fluke. Sheesh. Now all of a sudden he sucks.... Sad. Why don't many go out and try to win 19 games at the ML level.. No i don't see anybody. He's had a hell of a season and hasn't whined. Let's cut him a break and dammit we're not f***ing dead yet and if we don't make it well it was a hell of a ride. :bringit

Loaiza carried this team through the whole first half, so don't rip on him or say he can't handle pressure. he started in the all-star game and looked as confident as ever and how many times has he ended a losing streak for us?

it isn't about being a fluke or not being able to handle the pressure, it is about having a bad outing and being a bit tired.

if anyone should be ripped, it should be this offense.

first inning, first and second on two HARD hit balls, and Thomas groundsout. Then Ordonez flies out. that was a HUGE momentum killer as it was vital for the Sox to come out with quick runs off Radke. they didn't, Radke settled down, and the Sox couldn't do a thing.

we lost the game, we have two games left. the good thing about this all is the Twins did absolutely nothing but stand there and watch Loaiza throw balls, so hopefully Garland can shut them down tomorrow and we can rock Rogers.

He's had a great year.

With the way the Twins fans are acting, I mean get real, we're not going to win

a game in the Dome. I don't care who is pitching.

We let Minnie off the hook this year and they are packing the s***dome and making

too much noise.

Look, I appreciate what Esty has done this year, but you gotta face facts. Lately he hasn't gotten the job done. He was fortunate to get his 19th win against Cleveland, that coulda been a loss. then he lost twice to Minny, and if you say he had one bad inning in the first one, he had no good innings tonight. I think he'll win 20, but the party is over. I hope next year he comes back strong.
