He's our annual "underdog white guy fan favorite" but I think he's a lot better than the rest.

He's actually good though. And was a draft pick. He was mentioned as a 4th-5th round guy by many draft types

I forgot to look that up, any tidbits from camp yesterday? Hot has hell?

White is as advertised. Cody Whitehair is probably the starter at LG. Young and Houston both appear to be in great shape and dominated 1 on 1 drills. Floyd is super skinny and I wasn't a fan of the pick but unlike McClellin he does flash crazy athleticism and explosiveness. Everyone talks about the offense being worse and I don't see it. Gase was overrated and not much will change there. Their best plays last year were when their best player (Cutler) made great plays outside of the actual offense. Everyone looks at the losses of Forte and Bennett. Their OL is better and WR are much better. Miller will have a huge year barring health. Bears should be solid.

Grasu has apparently looked really really good too. Would be nice if some of these young olinemen pan out and can gel with Long. Would be nice to have a younger line, where you should see some continuity and consistency over the years.

Good to hear on Grasu, I heard he was bigger but that's it.

Today had Jeffrey, Royal and Miller out though, which gave me bad flashbacks to last year. Definitely need to have a solid WR core. Our TE's are going to be a mess.

Yep OL is super young. Massie, Long, Grasu, Whitehair, and Leno

If Jeffrey does miss extended time again this season were gonna be really happy we didnt sign him to huge money. A few years ago the Bears would be forced to lock onto any good WR and hold on for dear life because we had absolutely zero ability to develop them but having Marshall, then getting Jeffrey and hopefully Kevin White it seems we can at least be competent at finding new WRs.

Dude needs help.

Tre Mason says he won't report to Rams camp

Tracked down by WPBF Florida on Saturday, troubled RB Tre Mason shouted "No!" when asked by reporters if he would show up to Rams camp.

While Rams camp is taking place in Los Angeles, Mason is spending his time in West Palm Beach. Rams coaches haven't had contact with Mason for seven-plus months. On July 27, Mason's mother called police because Tre was "acting unusual and making irrational statements." When they arrived, Mason told deputies "he would call the White House and have them fired, and that he knew police were responsible for teaching Al Quaida pilots how to fly." Police immediately took Mason to a hospital for mental evaluation.

They're actually not thin at C. Whitehair is probably their future there, and Larsen has played a lot of center

Whitehair is best suited for G long term. I feel for Grasu. Pace and company had him groomed for C of the future and so far he's been a bit injury prone losing a lot of development now.

Why is Joey Bosa being a jag and not signing his contract with the Chargers? Dude hasn't played a snap in the NFL and is mad that he got drafted by the Chargers? Please.

His mom came out and said that they wish they pulled an Eli Manning.

HOF game cancelled unsafe field..............not a good start to NFL season

I'm glad the game was canceled. One less chance for players on the Packers to get hurt, but how embarrassing that is for the NFL.

Fairly certain we are going to hear McPhee is out for year before the 4th preseason game.

Everything we feared about him holding up has come to fruition. If he is going to make a full season he has to be a part time situational guy. Best case scenario with him is that or he is out for most of the year due to nagging injuries and becomes healthy towards the end. And that would be in a year that the Bears had the possibility of making the playoffs, which would likely not be this year. Its really a damn shame because the dude can flat out play.
