2016-2017 NFL Thread

Fuller has been a disappointment through two seasons. There's been buzz at Bears camp that Fuller could lose his job to fourth-round rookie Deiondre' Hall.

Per Rotoworld

He has been a big disappointment overall after first 8 games he played.

Fuller considered to be out several weeks now.

With that, Bears are meeting with Antonio Cromartie today.

Does Cromartie have anything left?

The secondary is really the last place on this Bears team that can afford any injuries at all.

I believe he does. I'm sure the Bears will look hard on the waiver wire once finals cuts come around.

Yeah I thought the D Line looked pretty darn good.

I thought Bullard,Williams, and that other undrafted tackle that's huge looked good. Pretty certain Ferguson and Sutton will get cut, leaving the emery experience at Alshon Jeffery, Long and Fuller.

But the "we had 4 defensive starters out", yeah, that's going to be the regular season. Timu and Anderson were as soft in coverage as ever and we were run all over. We have a thin level of players that win matchups and the rest we have to scheme around. We just have no depth for injuries.

Nice job by the first team unit. I continue to expect that the Bears are going to give a ton of money to Jimmy G at the end of the year (or at least try to). We shall see how he handles this four regular season games. He has a chance to make a lot of money.

It's early and injuries always come into play as the season moves on, but the Packers defense this year looks really good. First time since they won the Super bowl that I feel like the defense can carry them deep into the playoffs.

Bullard has really nice get-off. As advertised. The bullard-Floyd stunt that led to the sack was worth the whole game.

I missed this play somehow.

Floyd is going to look terrible whenever anyone gets a body on him though, as expected I guess. But when you don't he is going to blow some QB's the hell up.

I know it says it's not secure but that's a real blog, I think they screwed up their wpengine cert.

Woah s***. Bullard had a lil Tommie Harris in him there.

The whole series he was first to engage. Totally destroyed their snap counts. Sometimes they neutralized him with quick throws but as he gets stronger he's going to cause some major pain to offenses.

They say Floyd does an excellent job working through bodies / contact (it is why they say he is going to be so good in the ground game). He definitely has things to learn though, technique wise, and being strong would help, but one of the keys is just how fast his he is. There were some good quotes where people have mentioned how he reminds them of Urlacher out there (not as a player) but just in the sense that its the first time since Brian, where we've had a player at the LB position who could move like he did and make an impact in both the passing and rushing attack. I've seen nothing but extremely positives coming out of camp as it relates to Floyd.

That said, it is training camp and he's a rookie, but him and White both seem to have extremely good demeanor and a passion to get better (to go along with great skillsets), which to me is huge.

Part of me thinks a few sacks will come this year where a RT thinks they pushed him past the QB and Floyd will be fast enough to come back around before the tackle realizes

To be fair, Emery drafted Pat O'Donnell and Charles Leno as well.

Wow. Bills released Karlos Williams after one season. Averaged 5.6 yards per carry as a rookie. Supposedly was out of shape this year. I wonder if the Bears would take a flyer. Very good young RB.

Didn't he just get a drug suspension too?
