this site has many great old time posters, some poster name feather (i think she was an IIU student), nukem, Steff, yansy....

i wonder i Steff is still around.

I'll never forget Heather and her infatuation with Ben Davis. Those were good times.

In all seriousness, we used to do gatherings about once a year. It kind of faded away because a lot of the board isn't from the area, and we weren't getting big turn outs.

If we picked a summer game in advance, who would be interested in doing some combination of tailgate or maybe softball game, or the like?

I would for sure make a trip out of it

I did a web search back in 02 or 03 and found this place. I posted at the old cubbune boards till the hosts started being nazis about everything. That group moved to a site named worldcrossing which was cool but eventually closed. I lurked on both forums. As WC closed Ive stuck around here. Dont post too much anymore tho. I recall a lot of you guys started as teenagers and now are grown men. Used to get a kick outta Beastly Ordoñez

IIRC, Heather is Chisoxfanatic on WSI and still posts there. Just look for posts about Canada, winter or hockey.

wow, but i got banned from that site back in 2002.

i kinda of wish some of the old posters will drop in and say hi. that was a great group as there is..... and the beauty is, it keeps getting better.

Josh - IIRC, you came from the same place Rexhudler did, but can't recall. If you did, do you keep in touch with him at all?

Can anyone help me remember the sox podcast around 2009-10-11 that was two younger dudes, lots of swearing, and in 2010 they had an excellent run of podcasts trying to end our losing start with different hexes? Obscure, and I don't know what else to search.

Pale and Hosed, probably. That was a good show, when it was around. I think life got in the way as it wound up being pretty sporadic at some point. I think they started in 2010. Good guys; I used to talk to them a lot on FB when they first started.

There was another podcast called Oral Sox from around the same time. That one was less good, IMO, but I listened for a while. EDIT: apparently those guys were around as late as August 2014 as "35th and Shields."

Now that we have both the SSS pod and The Catbird Speaks, we're in good shape. Two very different shows with different styles. Not to mention FutureSox.

Yeah I did. His name was chris. He worked for the Barons. He helped me get tickets for a few expos games down in san juan when I lived down there. Jamey Carroll was his best friend. No havent heard of him for a while. I lost the link to the board I used to frecuent after we had to leave world Crossing

I've only listened a couple times but that was all I needed with the Catbird Speaks podcast. On the other hand, the SSS podcast is outstanding. Great guests. Good analysis. Professional sound to it. Josh and Jim do a very good job.

oh c'mon now, those guys were a head of their times to be doing this as a fan base ...... i love it.

I enjoy Catbird Speaks because of how irreverent and unslick it is. It feels like you're listening to (the good parts of) White Sox twitter.
