Guest wsc425
Seriously I am basing my optimism on three quotes "Nothing is over until we (The White Sox) decide it is."-Unkown, but the quote is from a movie, heard it on AM 1000. "Nothing is over until it is over." Yogi Berra "They lost the battle but they won the war" Unkown, but the quote is said many a time. GO WHITE SOX!!! WE need a TWINS KILLER OR TWINS SUCK Smile...seriously... Twinkies!
aboz56
We are as dead as the Tigers are in the AL Central. Finished. Cooked. Over with. Completely done. How's that for optimism?

Nokona
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelll The Twins plane could crash while flying the next city and they could all be killed and the season would be over and the Sox would win by default. BTW i predicted Michael Jordan coming back twice before it was even mentioned. I may in fact be the next Nostradamus.
Guest JimH
From the Reality Department: Radke stepped up tonite, he pitched well. That being said, certain guys on the Sox did not step up ... Thomas, 4 left on base. Ordonez, 3 left on base. Konerko, 0-4 and 3 left on base. Arguably three of our most vaunted hitters, and they didn't get anything done in the biggest game of the year. Radke is a good pitcher, sure, but for chrissakes how many times have they seen this guy and they can't seem to master the concept of going the other way. If they weren't looking for (and sitting on) the changeup after Radke's performance last week ... then they're either too dense or completely unwilling to play a team game. Positives? In my view, none. You can't take much positive from a key game like this. Shoenweis pitched well but he was shaky on those first two guys and Lee bailed him out with that great catch. As for Valentin ... you guys can have him. Another terrible game at the plate for him tonite. They absolutely have to win these next two, and even then it's gonna be tough with their schedule vs. the Twins remaining schedule. They'll have to get a lot of help to sneak in. They still have a chance, but unfortunately, I didn't see the passion tonite, I didn't see guys battling in their AB's, making Radke work, etc. Lots of first pitch pop outs and such. Radke did well but he had a pretty easy outing, the Sox hitters made it quite easy for him.

You're about as optimistic as I am It's over kids. The only way we win this Division is if Minnesota has a catostrophic meltdown. Only a few teams have had one of those that I can recall and the last one happened in '69.
DonkeyKongerko
Ordonez: one of my favorite White Sox player is turning into the mental equivalent of a piece of s***. WHO IS TELLING HIM TO SWING AT EVERY PITCH??? NOT EVEN CARLOS LEE DOES THAT ANYMORE!!
