southsider2k5
How is this for an opening question... Would you be OK if the White Sox didn't sign another OF, if they used that money instead to go over their 2016 international bonus pool allotment? OmarComing25
If it's one or the other, give me the OF.

fathom
It's probably way, way too late to make the decision to go over the 2016 international budget
LDF
QUOTE (fathom @ Feb 17, 2016 -> 05:47 PM) It's probably way, way too late to make the decision to go over the 2016 international budget both has to be spent, no choice, the owners made this mess thru their bad management. now they have to fix both. southsider2k5
QUOTE (fathom @ Feb 17, 2016 -> 10:47 AM) It's probably way, way too late to make the decision to go over the 2016 international budget Not if you go after the Cuban talent too. That is not locked up like LA is.
elrockinMT
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 17, 2016 -> 05:41 PM) How is this for an opening question... Would you be OK if the White Sox didn't sign another OF, if they used that money instead to go over their 2016 international bonus pool allotment? I would like to give Avisail Garcia the opportunity to play RF in 2016 for the Sox. Let's go after some international talent and also keep our draft picks
bmags
Depends what OF we are talking about.
Jose Abreu
Yes. I'm growing more comfortable with the idea of Avi in RF to (at least) start the season.
fathom
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 17, 2016 -> 04:41 PM) How is this for an opening question... Would you be OK if the White Sox didn't sign another OF, if they used that money instead to go over their 2016 international bonus pool allotment? As for the question, I'd rather they spend the money on 2016 upgrades instead of long-term players. 2016/2017 are important years for the Sox to contend, and if things go bad this year, we could be looking at some massive rebuilding project. daggins
I am getting used to the idea of just getting a platoon partner for Avi. Like, Wil Venable or something low $ like that. At least its some form of competition, even if very low ceiling.
ShandyMan
If it were one or the other, id much rather have an established MLB player. Intl 16 year olds are likely to never even make the MLB.
caulfield12
Sure, if we went all out like the Braves or brought in a player with the upside of Moncada...
Hatchetman
sure, if they went $100MM over.
