flavum
Interleague play is weird this year. The outcome is similar, but how they got there is weird. In the four game series where teams play their "rival" 2 home and 2 road, the AL is absolutely crushing teams: 38-18 Every other 2- and 3- game series total is even: 97-97 Total: AL 135 NL 115 With the DH (home), AL teams are 64-61. Without the DH (road), AL teams are 71-54. By Division: AL East 50-37 AL Cent 45-38 AL West 40-40 NL East 39-40 NL Cent 41-39 NL West 35-56 The NL West is terrible in interleague play, but when they play the NL East or Central, they're about .500. He smashed his bat on the dugout railing right in front of Gibbons after he struck out. A little too close for comfort, and Gibbons told him to cool it and things escalated. http://mlb.nbcsports.com/2016/08/17/video-...aldson-got-mad/ Edited August 17, 2016 by flavum

flavum
Red Sox complained about the day game in Detroit tomorrow, and now they're in a rain delay in Baltimore. Might be a quick call to award them the Win in an 8-1 game in the 7th.

flavum
Red Sox won 8-1 after 6 innings. Now they have to get off the ground in Baltimore to make it to Detroit at a decent time. Edit: the Red Sox landed in Detroit 10 hours before first pitch. Edited August 18, 2016 by flavum
Bob Sacamano
Anyone think the Braves can be decent next year depending on what they do this offseason? If Swanson can be a steady bat and they have a healthy Inciarte and add a bat (at third?), I think they could be watchable at the very least. Maybe trade some prospect depth for an arm or two for the rotation if they really wanted to since they loaded up on a bunch of prospect arms. Balta1701
QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Aug 18, 2016 -> 09:16 AM) Anyone think the Braves can be decent next year depending on what they do this offseason? Maybe trade some prospect depth for an arm or two for the rotation if they really wanted to since they loaded up on a bunch of prospect arms. Swanson only had a .745 OPS at AA, so he still has work to do. They may not be this bad next year - they might be about where the Phillies are this year? But next year seems early to be trading away the talent.
