That would be crazy if Heyward played poorly enough that he didn't opt out and actually played out the full 8 seasons in Chicago. Just always expected him to be gone in 3, still assuming that happens.

I'd die laughing.

Pretty sure currently all 15 AL teams have as many or more wins vs teams that were .500 or better last year than the Cubs. That's an amazingly bad schedule for the Cubs. And the NL is just also amazingly bad.

Interestingly enough, the NL is leading interleague play at 17-13.

That will change.

Look, this team is so loose, it's not possible that any of them have any prolonged struggles. They were wearing wacky suits yesterday. Heyward will be fine.

Until money is an object there are no bad contracts with them same as NY and Boston.

At this point money is no object.

It's finally catching up to the Yankees and the Sox are stuck with Fat Panda.

Jason Hammel is shutting the Pirates down and David Ross keeps coming up with big hits. They're a great team, but it just seems like everything imaginable is going their way.

Easy to win when you give up 1-2 runs every game. Laz Diaz hurt Cole big time tonight it looks like

Also doesn't hurt Fowler has the highest WAR in all of baseball

105 isn't out of the question, but predicting anything higher than that is a stretch. Bottom line, they'll probably be the 1-seed in the NL, and we'll hope to watch them lose in October for quite a few years to come.

Cubs might win 125 games this season, they are that good.

Greatest team in the history of the sport good?

I'd hold off on that. They have as many wins as the White Sox.

I have a house I would bet against that.

I take it the lack of response means no?
