He will get $5 million, per @JonHeyman Ken Rosenthal @Ken_Rosenthal 32s33 seconds ago Source confirms: Austin Jackson to #WhiteSox. One year, $5M, per @jonheyman. Ken Rosenthal @Ken_Rosenthal 25s26 seconds ago Source: Jackson chose #WhiteSox partly out of desire to play CF rather than LF. #Angels offered more money, but obviously not CF. Chicago White Sox
f*** yes!! Does Eaton move to RF or LF?
GGajewski18
Much needed. OF defense just got a lot better.

Buehrle>Wood
I really think Eaton will be a beast in RF.

Jose Abreu
Eaton Cabrera Abreu Frazier LaRoche Lawrie Jackson Catchers Saladino/Rollins Or does Jackson bat 2nd?

YouCanPutItOnTheBoardYES!
Jackson should bat 2nd IMO. Put another speedburner behind Eaton and infront of Abreu and Frazier.

SoxAce
Holy crap our outfielde defense just improved significantly. Might actually have to take this team seriously now.
DirtySox
QUOTE (SoxAce @ Mar 6, 2016 -> 05:56 PM) Might actually have to take this team seriously now. Pretty much what this signing has done for me.
daggins
Until Eaton's arm is 100% I would imagine he plays CF and Eaton DH's / RF. I can't imagine asking the defensively challenged Cabrera to move to RF. When Eaton is back in ship-shape, maybe AJax moves around the OF as needed. He shouldn't be hitting anywhere above the 6 spot. YouCanPutItOnTheBoardYES!
Obviously Jackson wasn't my first choice, but he makes this team SO much better. The defense just improved significantly and I'm taking the Sox seriously now.
Jose Abreu
I feel like Eaton would be better suited in LF than RF, but Melky would be a nightmare in... well, either
daggins
I also would not be surprised if Hahn is still looking for some left handed hitting power. This signing addresses a different need, but if there's bargains to be had, this is the year to have them.

beck72
Having Jackson play CF also will save Eaton's legs. My guess is Eaton will play LF.
YouCanPutItOnTheBoardYES!
Cut LaRoche and trade for Reddick, and man, I'd be so pumped for baseball to start. It won't happen but it's fun to dream lol.
