SoCalSox
QUOTE (Dunt @ Mar 29, 2016 -> 10:16 AM) Really not sure why Sands or Turner should make it over Ishikawa The fact that Turner is even still there is just gross to me. He's a bad pitcher. Time to give up.

Y2Jimmy0
QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Mar 29, 2016 -> 12:20 PM) If they plan on taking another pitcher, I hope to god that it is not Turner. They will try to sneak Turner through waivers at the very end of camp with the goal to have him start in Charlotte. He makes $1.5 million though. I doubt anyone claims him. Y2Jimmy0
QUOTE (flavum @ Mar 29, 2016 -> 12:28 PM) Unless Latos gets DL'd. Beat writers have basically said that Latos is starting Game 4 in Oakland already.
BigEdWalsh
Sure sucks for Davidson and C. Sanchez. Both had great springs. Just no room for them.
southsider2k5
QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Mar 29, 2016 -> 12:35 PM) Sure sucks for Davidson and C. Sanchez. Both had great springs. Just no room for them. It would have been nice if Davidson has this spring a year or two ago isntead of waiting until we traded a nice package for Frazier.
knightni
QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Mar 29, 2016 -> 01:35 PM) Sure sucks for Davidson and C. Sanchez. Both had great springs. Just no room for them. The "problem" is, that they're keeping an extra RP for the first month of the season and it limits the bench. It would be helpful if teams had 26 man rosters these days. Princess Dye
Dan Hayes @CSNHayes 40s40 seconds ago #WhiteSox down to 31 players in camp. Wanne
QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Mar 29, 2016 -> 11:35 AM) Sure sucks for Davidson and C. Sanchez. Both had great springs. Just no room for them. While it does suck...you can tell both these guys really put the work in this off season...and it's not a bad problem to have if you have to send guys down that had the Springs they had. And on the plus side...they'll get consistent at bats instead of minimal PT.
shysocks
Dan Hayes @CSNHayes 3m3 minutes ago Carlos Sanchez, one of several players to talk to manager today, has a team-high 54 at-bats this spring. Hitting .333/.368/.593. Hope he gets another extended shot in MLB, if not with us than with somebody else. He will end up being a significantly better player than he showed last year. Jose Abreu
Ishikawa's left-handedness is nice, but it would also be nice if he hit higher than .222 since 2013.

Donny Lucy's Avocado Farm
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Mar 29, 2016 -> 12:45 PM) IMO, we should've kept Sanchez or Davidson. Things can change pretty quickly the first month of the season. If needed, it's nice knowing they'll be ready down in AAA.
Dick Allen
So the Sox should just ignore the 1141 plate appearances Davidson has made in AAA the past 2 years where he barely hit .200 and struck out more often than Adam Dunn, and base a roster spot on the 44 plate appearances he made this spring in games that don't count. No one really can be serious, right? Send him to Charlotte. If he's worth a roster spot, he will show he's worth a roster spot.
