The main thrust of Chris Sale's anger with Kenny Williams was that he's not around enough to understand the dynamics of White Sox clubhouse.

Well, the dynamics of the clubhouse last year worked out well. Why change anything?

KW made the right decision. Whether or not some of the players approached him and complained, it seems pretty obvious that this whole things has become a distraction.

Tony Clark said the MLBPA has not yet ruled out the possibility of filing a grievance on Adam LaRoche's behalf with the White Sox.

You would hope Adam has a little sense and just stick to the decision. Part ways and move on.

But maybe he wants to collect some of that cash.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 10:43 AM)
If the kid is really bright, he may be ahead of other kids his age doing it this way. It isn't for everyone, and I would disagree with Adam if he thinks school is not important. But there are many students who wind up not reaching their potential doing it the traditional way.

The bottom line is that our current understanding of how best to educate and socialize our children in this country is not exactly producing results which are unquestionable or unchallengeable. When you consider that he might only see his son 7-8 months of the year if he didn't bring him on the road with him, I cannot possibly flatter myself, nor do I think anyone else should so flatter themselves, as to believe they might better understand what is better for his son and his upbringing than his own father.

He could've collected all of it by simply following the (reasonable) rules and playing out his final year.

At this point he can't come back IMO.

Collect some cash because the White Sox reneged on a handshake agreement, if there was some agreement? I would think that is possible.

LOL a grievance for what? On what grounds? The best player on the team is pissed because KW made a reasonable request to one of the worst players on the team? This whole thing is incredibly stupid.

Clearly LaRoche will argue they had a verbal agreement

Chris Sale isn't a leader in that clubhouse in fact it was his buddy buddy relationship with Shark that probably contributed to some of the problems last year. His BS macho guy routine against the Royals certainly didn't help anything either getting suspended.

Why not, the players are supporting him and would love for him to return.

The players are publicly supporting him. There is a segment that don't want the kid in the locker room. LaRoche has to know this. Sounds like some real veterans finally came in and realized how weird the situation is.

Which is funny, because LaRoche was going to be here one more year, at most.

Yes but the White Sox agreed to this when he signed the contract according to most. I am of the belief people should live up to their agreements.
