Clearly Dick Allen is in favor of Slavery, because it was in the constitution.

really mean no offense.

but it also is in the constitution of freedom based on liberty and etc....

in other words, he, DA has a right to debate any issue without fear of reprisal

again i do not mean any negativity to you, only your comment.

Apparently only he has the right to debate?

And what are you talking about reprisals for?

Yes, I find it really hard to believe that any supposed handshake or verbal agreement specified that Drake was allowed 100% unrestricted access to the clubhouse. That is crazy.

I'm sure you are correct...bmags is most likely correct in saying the Sox likely didn't know just how omnipresent the kid would be when they agreed to this.

but last yr, according to the way i am seeing this, he had free access to everythng.

now this yr, some things change and he was approach in a professional manner. then things escalated.

I would but he's not the leader of the team. He's well respected but he isn't out there every day. It's pretty easy to see who has taken over with this team.

Yep it's really hard for any pitcher to be a leader just because they aren't out there every day. That said, it's obvious that Chris, while the best player on the team, isn't a strong natural leader. His idea of leadership seems to be flying off at the handle and showing anger. That's not what leaders do. It can be a part of leadership but it's certainly not the most important or even required.

If the Sox are still mired in mediocrity next July, I hope that Sale is the first one out the door in the fire sale. I won't miss him.

That is just ridiculous. If the Sox ever lose Sale, it will be a dark day for the franchise.

i am not talking about the admins but other posters who might feel that the conversation is getting redundant.

again it is not meant to be personal.

As I said 40 pages ago (lol) they probably told LaRoche, "listen, we have no problem with your kid having access to the clubhouse". LaRoche, egomaniac that he apparently is, took this as "I can have my kid around 100% of the time, even on road trips".

Ok then, no wonder there was a conflict.

Bernstein and Spiegel basically just confirmed that a group of players led by Jimmy Rollins went to management. I understand Sale wanting to police their own room but they've done a poor job of doing that to this point and their manager doesn't do it. This is a case of new veteran players coming in and deciding that this had to stop.

Actually accusing someone of taking reprisals for disagreeing with someone else is extremely personal.

I am fine with KW doing this, but I also think it is probably coming off just like Goose Gossages rant to these players. Doesn't seem like it was handled well.

I think it's nice of him to protect those that complained, but he should have realized how difficult it is to handle these things inhouse without media.

If they decide to hold a fire sale, they're clearly starting over. In which case the prospect package for Sale would be more valuable to the Sox than Sale at that point.

I'm glad that Sale is very good at what he does and I'm glad that he's trying to help this team win. As long as the Sox are in go-for-it mode, I'm happy that Sale's on the team. But I'll never respect him in the way that I respect guys like Buehrle and Ventura.

I don't think he's an egomaniac at all. In fact, that's pretty much opposite of everything that has been said/written about LaRoche. From all accounts, he's a very solid guy. I just think he marches a bit to the beat of his own drummer and the White Sox probably didn't really contemplate what his request was when it was made.

Yep, God forbid some of the players are trying to create a winning atmosphere...not a daycare.

Take a look at who has tweeted or complained publicly. It's the old guard of the team that led a mediocre effort the last year or two.

No who isn't responding. Who complained. Whose lockers are near LaRoches?

This guy, I take it?
