Sands just drilled a HR off Manaea. Davidson follows with a single.

Any chance Sands makes the roster?

I think it is between him and Ishikawa for the last spot. Both play corner OF and 1B, which would give guys days at DH and off days when needed.

Seems like Sands has the better bat in my opinion, but Ishikawa has the left-handed advantage.

Steverson getting interviewed, first question about Avi, talked about his problems with pitch recognition and discpline, and how they are trying to put him into a better position to do better at both.

Also talked about working with him in Miami in the off season, which put him ahead coming into this year.

based on what the organization has said, I'm gonna guess fulmer is on this team by june

It's possible if he is throwing well in the minors. This spring they haven't over exposed him. Today's outing was the longest of the spring. He's learned a lot. Now he just has to apply it and everyone loves his attitude.

Hopefully not until September, because if he is up that early, it means a lot of things went wrong.

It could also mean there's no sense letting a better pitcher go to waste in the minors when he could be helping in a pennant race. September always seems to mean you're out of it by then. Replacing even a mediocre pitcher with a better one can always make a difference especially in the post season.

Again, if Fulmer is up in June, it means not only did either an injury happen, or we had bad performances out of 4/5 starters, it also means the next guys in line flopped, and did so pretty badly if they are all being quit on that quickly.
