LDF
QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 27, 2016 -> 09:21 PM) He's just not a big league starter. Still not sure why they put so much confidence into Turner coming into camp. $$$$
Whisox05
Mat Latos said results have been horrible. But, he's also confident it only takes one good bullpen, one good outing to get back on track. https://twitter.com/CSNHayes/status/714220234610073601

Whisox05
Latos moved over four or five inches on the rubber during his last bullpen so that might take a little getting used to. https://twitter.com/scottmerkin/status/714222397725876224
Whisox05
Jake Peavy told reporters he told Travis Ishikawa not to read too much into Mat Latos' outing because mound was that bad today. https://twitter.com/CSNHayes/status/714224658950664192

chitownsportsfan
QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Mar 27, 2016 -> 06:13 PM) +1, not hitting the panic button yet. Latos' goal in spring training is to just build arm strength and maintain his knee. So far he's managed that. Results really don't matter at all for him. Yea if he sucks in April you are sorta f***ed but until then it's not time to panic. 5th starters are 5th starters.

flavum
It's really tough to judge anything in Arizona, so I generally think spring training competition is a bad concept. That said, if Latos isn't physically ready, I hope they DL him.

ChiSoxFanMike
I wonder what the pitching matchups are going to be in the Oakland series. If I had to guess, I'd say: Sale vs. Gray Quintana vs. Hill Rodon vs. Hahn Latos vs. Graveman No one on their side is that intimidating other than Gray, so I wouldn't be surprised if the Sox win 3/4 or even sweep. I'm hopeful.

Especially in the West coast, namely Oakland. Sox just don't have any luck there. Been like that for years.
