NorthSideSox72
Fourth edition of the stock report is up, with a look at some competitors for the last 2-3 slots and some prospect reports. Basically looks like some combo of Sands, Ishikawa, Davidson, Sanchez and/or a reliever like Kahnle for the last two roster spots. And no one has really gone out and grabbed the 5th starter spot either, though it's probably Latos.
knightni
I really want them to give Davidson some time at 1B and let him be the back up corner infielder. He seems to really have figured it out.
southsider2k5
The big thing that Davidson doesn't have, that both Sands and Ishiakawa do have, is a lot of time in the OF.
knightni
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 29, 2016 -> 01:34 PM) The big thing that Davidson doesn't have, that both Sands and Ishiakawa do have, is a lot of time in the OF. They only need Avila, Shuck, Saladino, and Davidson. That covers every spot. They were hamstrung by Laroche, so they should see Davidson as a positive opportunity. chitownsportsfan
Giving Davidson a spot on the 25 man roster because of a hot spring would be stupid as all hell. Especially as you'd be asking him to play 2-3 times a week at absolute most. No, if he's really "figured something out" then you ask him to go down to Charlotte and play everyday for a couple months and yea if he's slashing 280/340/500 down there in June then you think about calling him up. oldsox
I wonder if there is any chance they keep both Saladino and Sanchez, and let Rollins go.

Why in the world would they do that? Rollins has looked solid this spring

I agree. He needs to be playing everyday to show that he's progressing. Dh is pretty much avi's so there is no spot for him
