chw42
There's definitely times where Robertson isn't sharp. When his knuckle curve isn't working, he's very hittable.
Heads22
No surprise. Nate certainly isn't going to take many opportunities unless Robertson completely collapses, what with David being the highest paid closer in baseball.

GreenSox
If Jones is purportedly The guy who can get the big strike out and get out of jams, then the seventh or the eighth is the right place for him. The back up closer just needs to be in the pitcher most likely to not give up a run starting off with a clean inning. I'm not sure that's Jones. We don't even know if Jones is going to be effective yet. He hasn't had that much pitching since his injury to tell Edited April 6, 2016 by GreenSox

cabiness42
This isn't really news. Anytime Robertson has pitched 3 days in a row, he isn't going to be available, and Jones is the obvious choice for the 9th inning on those occasions.
3GamesToLove
Nice. I picked him up in fantasy last week anyway because I failed to draft any relievers. We count Saves/Holds as a single stat.
VAfan
Sox should actually consider giving Matt Albers some higher leverage innings. Not closing, but I could see 8th inning possibly. He seems to have picked up from last year.
Doc Edwards Shot
Nate has to get a heck of a lot sharper before he's considered for a closer role. He was terrible last night, hitting two batters and giving up a couple of runs in less than an inning.
SoCalSox
QUOTE (Doc Edwards Shot @ Apr 6, 2016 -> 12:34 PM) Nate has to get a heck of a lot sharper before he's considered for a closer role. He was terrible last night, hitting two batters and giving up a couple of runs in less than an inning. It was one game... He pitched very well the night before. Bigsoxhurt35
It always seemed like his release point affects his command but he's usually good. I always thought he had a weird release
southsider2k5
QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Apr 6, 2016 -> 02:47 PM) It always seemed like his release point affects his command but he's usually good. I always thought he had a weird release He throws like a javelin thrower. But then again, I am guessing that odd release point is part of what makes him hard to hit. oldsox
Ubaldo Jiminez throws that way, too.
