CubKilla
And sorry, no there hasnt been greater upsets. iF the twins dont win the central it will go down as the biggest choke job in sports history. I still think the '69 Cubs gotta have that title wrapped up. I mean, didn't the Cubs only have to win 3 of the last 10 to win the NL pennant? And didn't they lose 8 of the last 10? That's a choke much greater than MN right now. Although MN choking would be one for the books for sure.

I got scoffed at for this, but if the sox presented ANY kind of challenge the twins would go 9-0 in their last 9..........

Texsox
All we need is a little help from the Tigers :puke I'm certain the Tigers could win 4 or 5 from the Twins Y'all want to jump on my Astros' Bandwagon?
southsider2k5
If you want to hang your hopes on a team with 113 losses, I have some playoff tickets I would be willing to sell just slightly above face value. PM me if you really believe that much.
Soxbadger
I thought about giving up, but I just cant, not with the fact that there are only 10 games left. So instead of just letting another season slip by, Im gonna hope to hell that perhaps all things in the end do work out. Thus, the reasons why the White Sox still have a chance: 1) If they win tonights game they are only 1.5 games back with 1 more game to play then the Twins. 2) The White Sox have out played the Twins in 4 of the last 6 meetings, but have only won 2 of them. 3) The Twins have an outstanding record against the Tigers, the White Sox have one of the worst if not the worst. 4) Besides for Santana, and some days Radke, the Twins other starters are nothing special. Why do all of these things that seem to point towards the White Sox not making the playoffs give me hope? Well its the old fact that eventually over enough time, all things even out. So for all the lucky breaks the Twins have gotten, it is now time for the ball to bounce the other way. For all of the bad luck the White Sox have gotten, its time for them to have something good happen. The White Sox just need to win 2 more games then the twins do in this final stretch and they go to a playoff game. 2 more games then a team that is far from dominant... The D-Rays blanked the Red Sox, you really think its that far out of the question that Cornejo has a great game against the Twins? They just have to win tonight, and they have to keep winning. They dug themselves into a hole, and true playoff teams find a way to get out of it. SB
winninguglyin83
Twins know they can really go for the throat tonight. hard to see the Sox fighting back under those circumstances.

Actually BMR, the greatest choke in baseball history (other than the 86 Red Sox in the world series) may have been the '67 White Sox, my dad still is depressed about that season. No? Are you nuts? How about last year's N.O. Saints? Needed to win 1 of 3 games against Carolina, Cincy or Minny, and couldn't do it. Baseball? How about the Angels in 1995? or 97? They had a 9-10 game lead on Aug. 20th, and blew it.

1549
forget about the size of their school, their fancy uniforms and remember what got us here. focus on the fundamentals that we've gone over time and time again, and most important, don't get caught up thinking about winning or losing this game, if you put your effort and concentration into playing to your potential, i don't care what the scoreboard says at the end of this game, in my book, we're gonna be winners! More optimism from your friend 1549...c'mon folks pull your heads out of your ovens and lets roll this team on

supernuke
Of course we still have a chance the entire twins and royals rosters could end up with torn ACLs tomorrow, hell we're a lock to get to October now that I think of it.
