BigHurt3515
QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 7, 2016 -> 03:17 PM) I'd never throw Jose anything other than junk away. It seems like he will never be able to lay off those pitches consistently
OmarComing25
I like all these weak ground balls Latos is inducing. Keep it up.

southsider2k5
7 in a row put down by Latos. Now comes the fun as he tries to make it through the line up a second time.
BigHurt3515
Interesting route there Avi. Seems like if Latos is going to be successful he has to change speeds a lot, working so far
bmags
I would like runs.
Dick Allen
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 7, 2016 -> 03:21 PM) 87 MPH fastball. If this was 15 years ago and the pitch speed wasn't on the screen, all anyone would be concerned with is the actual results.
OmarComing25
He's getting his curve over and keeping the ball down.
greg775
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 7, 2016 -> 08:21 PM) Should have traded for Jay Bruce. 2 homers today. Hitting .500 on the season. On pace for one of the greatest seasons of all time. You are the kind of fan who always thinks it's early in the season, IMO. Then eventually season is ova. Why do you care so much that some of us are negative? This team has sucked for several years now. Some of us are more impatient. Who cares ultimately? BigHurt3515
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 7, 2016 -> 03:24 PM) If this was 15 years ago and the pitch speed wasn't on the screen, all anyone would be concerned with is the actual results. I'm not really concerned with the speeds as long as it is working for him. Just posting so people know where his velocity is at. It has been has high as 91 in the first and 85 in the 3rd. If he can change his speed that much he can be successful
SoCalSox
Their hitting seems very similar to last year so far. What I'm really confused about is what Abreu is trying to do. He's swinging at some bad balls & making some un-needed out in scoring situations...
beautox
This kid looks like classic Garland, throwing bowling balls up there.

Dick Allen
QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 7, 2016 -> 03:25 PM) You are the kind of fan who always thinks it's early in the season, IMO. Then eventually season is ova. Why do you care so much that some of us are negative? This team has sucked for several years now. Some of us are more impatient. Who cares ultimately? Because if you are negative now with the team 2-1 playing decently, what could actually make you happy during the season? First nitpick over who they keep as the 25th guy, and then when they do use the bench, complain they are using the bench. Every little thing. Why can't you just enjoy the game? It always comes back to but. The Sox won but, he's hitting well and looks like he's improved but, he is pitching well but, to each his own but to me that's kind of miserable. Baron
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 7, 2016 -> 03:28 PM) That was an error He hit it just hard enough to make it slightly difficult. It's one of his ground ball specials though.
Dick Allen
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 7, 2016 -> 03:26 PM) I'm not really concerned with the speeds as long as it is working for him. Just posting so people know where his velocity is at. It has been has high as 91 in the first and 85 in the 3rd. If he can change his speed that much he can be successful I don't think his arm strength is top notch right now, but I do think he really was a 90-92 guy his last couple of successful seasons.
