The game will be made up on May 23 as part of a straight doubleheader, beginning at 4:10 p.m. CT.

Glory. The first Sox game I went to was a straight doubleheader against Texas, and they just don't come around too often. This will be something to look into attending.

Seeing as it's a Monday, the tickets I was selling in the ticket exchange section for today's game are still gonna be available if you're interested in 2 under face value. =)

Saladino can play basically everywhere on the infield.

Some argue he's best at SS, some 3B...more recently, because of the presence of Sanchez/Micah Johnson in the high minors, he's probably had the least amount of time at 2B but he won't embarrass himself anywhere you put him.

I'd bet Sally can play a competent OF if he was needed to play out there in a pinch, too

Well, extra rest for some guys and a straight doubleheader isn't a bad way to make it up. And they should have Eaton back tmr right? Even if he wants to take an extra day I'm fine with it. Be with your family. As much s*** as I gave him for his Laroche comments he's come out on fire and he deserves some time with his new born and wife.

From a business standpoint, while going from a Sunday to a Monday isn't a positive, taking away an early April game and moving it to late May is a win for fans.

Unless it gets rained out!!!

I live about 5 miles north of the park so I don't know if the weather would have been the same, but if it was there like here, they definitely would have Ben able to play up until now with no stoppage. It is drizzling so it would have Ben miserable but playable.

The straight doubleheader is a cool thing and is obviously rare, but we did have one just last year against the Reds. My friend and I had tickets for the Saturday already, then Friday got rained out, so we got two games for the price of one. And that price was just $5 apiece because I'd used my vouchers from the previous fan appreciation day. That was a fun day (SouthSideSox meetup, too), though cold. Cueto pitched well int he first game, then Rodon made his first start in the second one.

On the other hand, I also went to a straight doubleheader in 2013. I want to say it was the same day as the Blackhawks parade, if memory serves. That day sucked, and I'd bought those in advance and was really looking forward to it.

Anyway, I had tickets for today. My dad and I made it to the park and were in the team store when they made the announcement. We lucked out that it was made up as a straight DH, meaning that our tickets can be exchanged for ANY game!

I think you're right. I've been to all 3 parades and I seem to remember trying to convince our group to make it for the 2nd game of that DH.

I also went to that Reds' one you speak of from last year.
