southsider2k5
http://www.csnchicago.com/white-sox/white-...sundays-rainout Jose Quintana is throwing in Monday’s game at Target Field with Carlos Rodon pushed back two days to Wednesday and Mat Latos set for Thursday. Instead of pushing back John Danks one day to Friday, White Sox manager Robin Ventura said he thinks they’d keep Sale on normal rest and move Danks to Saturday. SCCWS
QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 11, 2016 -> 04:31 PM) I just have no faith in Danks at this point. Hahn does.
TheTruth05
QUOTE (SCCWS @ Apr 11, 2016 -> 03:46 PM) Hahn does. I don't think he has too much of a choice for the time being.
Bob Sacamano
I believe Archer is pitching Friday as well so makes sense.
ptatc
QUOTE (SCCWS @ Apr 11, 2016 -> 03:46 PM) Hahn does. I think it's more to protect Sale and keep him on normal rest than it does confidence in Danks.

Rowand44
QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 11, 2016 -> 03:31 PM) I just have no faith in Danks at this point. I have the same amount of faith I've had in Danks for 3 seasons now. He's going to eat some innings, have some good games and get shelled in a couple which makes him just fine at the bottom of the rotation. He's not fine for someone who makes that much money however (though you could point out worse contracts for guys with similar/worse results as him). Jose Abreu
With the new alignment, Danks is essentially the #2 starter

Lillian
If Danks can reach 91 - 92 on his fast ball, and keep his change up down, he can get a lot of guys out. He had a lot of very good starts last year, especially in the second half. I didn't watch his first start. What was his velocity?

I didn't follow the gun but I thought he was good enough to win, the defense really let him down, and he ended up with 5ER instead of 3. reiks12
Danks is a serviceable 5th starter at this point in his career.

Vance Law
QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 11, 2016 -> 02:13 PM) Move Danks out for good. Danks isn't great but he got hosed in that first start. Ump blew an obvious called strike 3 for the 2nd out, turned it into a walk. With 2 outs, Avila would've gone straight to 1st, unrushed, for the 3rd out. That's 3 runs that shouldn't have happened. That's what happens when teams get extra outs. Danks is fine. Look at back of rotation starters around the league. Everyone sucks. You're only overly emotionally invested in the sucking on your own team.

Kyyle23
QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Apr 11, 2016 -> 06:59 PM) I didn't follow the gun but I thought he was good enough to win, the defense really let him down, and he ended up with 5ER instead of 3. He was awful, he was getting tattooed. The defense wasn't good in the first inning but Danks gave up runs in three out of the five innings he pitched. Special K
We're stuck with Danks until we have an alternative. In the scheme of things, when we're complaining about Danks as our 5th starter, it means we have nice problems. I think the bigger issue is that we will need another "good" bat at some point to replace Avi. Just can't see the offense keeping up at this pace - hope i'm wrong. That is why the $13 million the Sox saved from the LaRoche fiasco is really nice. They can afford to trade for a big bat at the deadline with that money. The $13 Mil may already be targeted for non-roster expenses.
