Love that Lassiter and Coats, two guys I was higher on than most, are both starting off hot. They are similar in some ways - outfielders taken late in the draft after issues in college (knee blow-out for Coats, personal issues for Lassiter). Both guys that normally would have gone much higher in the draft. Neither with any super-loud tools, but both with a number of good to very good tools. Those guys tend to fly under the radar.

Similar to his first outing where he gave up the big hit with 2 outs. Kind of shocking how bad he's been in his first two outings.

Agreed. He looked pretty good in ST. Could be a matter of adjusting to a new team, league etc. I think he will be fine but he may take longer than some expect.

ref fulmer, well, it will take a little bit longer than anticipated. that is why i never believe in the hype surrounding prospects.

Wait, because a kid who was drafted less than a year ago, and is pitching at AA struggled in his first two starts, you don't believe the hype?

To put it into perspective, Sale and Rodon are pretty much historical figures with how soon they not only made it to the majors, but how well they have performed since getting there. Even Fulmer being at AA is about two years ahead of what a normal top draft pick would be doing. Quitting on Fulmer is crazy talk.

yes i do not believe in any hype, and i will stand by what i post.

reason is, every player will respond differently to different situation.

so if you think i have no faith in him, i never said that or implied it.

Coming from the guy that loves draft picks and prospects.

yes b/c of the uncertainty and the growth that each prospects goes thru .... to make it to the majors.

i love or would love a prospect journal to record their journey to record the aches and pains they have to go thru to make it, to achieve their dream.

being a mlb full time player.
